First , 5out of 5 rating, and close to the airport. So we booked.
Driving to the far far end of the bay...no coffee shops, no boardwalk, no beach facilities, no bars...oh well no problem.
Got there a day early at 7:30 pm, had a room but said it had to be cleaned and we would have to wait...when I got back from asking my wife if that was ok, the room was ready...except for sand in the bed.
Internet never worked, shower water was barely Luke warm. Asked in the morning if they would change the sheets.
Got back late afternoon and room hadn't been touched. Was a little irritated , the desk clerk got on the phone for 10 min then came up and changed the sheets himself.
We were leaving very early in the morning so I wanted to check out. We had paid 115 through Expedia for one night. Gave me the bill @88 per night for two nights. I showed him I had paid 115 to Expedia so now charged my card another 115! Very Very tacky.
Later my daughter wanted some water and of course there was none in the little fridge, so she called the desk to ask if they had water. They brought her 3 bottles. She told me they wanted e €.5 ea. So I went down and gave him €5. He said thanks...I waited, no change. By now the lack of customer care & greed was becoming almost comical , so I just smiled and left.
Stayed in wonderful hotels all over Greece, including Athens, including great breakfasts..except Sparta..never paid over €80. How this hotel gets 5 stars...???
