Amazing hotel. relaxing atmosphere. very nice and helpful staff. better to come with a car although they offer transportation to the train station.. but less convenient.
I would come back. Room was great, but surprised there was no bathtub in the room, since it is in the photos. I would have paid more for that had I known.
View is incredible, and worth it for that alone. The onsen is fine, but not overly exceptional. The staff is excellent with heartfelt delivery. It’s a cab ride up the hill, and nothing is close, but again, the view is worth it and very romantic.
Food is mostly buffet, and just okay, but serviceable. Go for the romantic stay and exceptional staff.
Hotel was very nice however if your an American or western at all I wouldn’t stay here, none of the rooms had showers and we had many traditional ryokans on our visit to Japan that did, also all night were sirens for the Tsunami right outside our window. Restaurant was pretty decent but overall compared to the price and the dirtiest city we found in Japan it’s definitely a no way ever again in our books, that’s from a very well traveled outlook.

if this hotel is not in Atami, it is an OK hotel. However, it is in Atami, people need a experience of Japanese Hotspring hotel. I did not find a qualified Japanese style hotspring hotel. The worst part it cost you Japanese style hotspring hotel.
