"Very boring"

"We stayed in Room 杉 on with a private open-air bath on April 15, and this was our second time visiting this property—our last stay was about 8 years ago. It was such a joy to return. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Both meals were absolutely delicious, with the clams being a definite highlight! We also noticed some thoughtful upgrades since our last visit, like the addition of remote-controlled lighting and TV, as well as extra blinds around the private bath area for added privacy. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming throughout our stay. We arrived on a rainy day, and they kindly arranged to pick us up near the bus station, which we really appreciated. It was also a lovely touch that they offer complimentary drinks and snacks in the lobby. On top of that, we received a gift card with our booking, which we enjoyed using at the gift shop. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel. We’re already looking forward to hopefully returning again in the near future."

"This ryokan was recommended by a Japanese coworker and our stay at Hotel Hanakoyado was exquisite. We were only able to stay one night, because it was booked up when we had planned to go earlier in our trip. We ended up staying here the night before our flight home and it was just the decompression we needed for our long flight the next day. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and you could really tell they took a lot of pride in their work. The meals were delicious. We especially loved dinner, and the Charcoal Grilled Kobe Beef really just melts in your mouth. We booked the room with the private onsen because that was the only room available and I was determined to stay here (since it was so highly recommended) and it was absolutely worth it and very relaxing. They also handle booking and transportation to a massage parlor nearby. We did an aromatherapy full-body massage and slept like babies that night.
