Lovely place with friendly staff.

A really nice place for an overnight stay near Ashbourne, where a hearty breakfast will set you up for the day. Good food, good drinks and good staff. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Staff were friendly with great service. Breakfast was tasty and cooked lovely. The restaurant is very nice and welcoming. The room was comfortable and very clean and cosy. Lovely place. We had a drink outside....lovely setting.

Really nice place to stay

Excellent place to stay. Room was really lovely, and large (also had bath and shower, not just one of them) It was very cold when we got there, but as soon as we asked, the heating was put on without question.Service was really good, and we were well loooked after. Nice location for Ashbourne, Bakewell etc.

Great Place To Stay

We stayed for one night after a family party. The staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make sure that we had an earlier than usual breakfast, as we had to leave very early. The effort they went to was exceptional.

Fantastic

I spent two nights hear so saw lots of different staff and they was all amazing. I had the single room which is probably only a few inches off been a double, so great. I had two evening meals which were both fantastic and also fantastic value for money. But the breakfast is the show stopper for me. If you like a full English you will love this hotel

Great food/service shame about the room

Great food, great service. Unfortunately the room was incredibly hot because we were above the kitchen so also noise with fans, bed and pillows were lumpy and hard so didn’t sleep very well, plus cobwebs. Lovely people though.

Compact room, bed not very comfortable, shower screen leaked, but saying that, shower was good, didn't hear any traffic noise through the night, staff were helpful & friendly, good bar & food, ideal stop for one night for the price, as it included breakfast.

Lovely Hotel, Lovely Staff and Delicious Food

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and delicious food. We stayed in the family suite but weren't expecting it to be an apartment set up with two separate bedrooms, a lounge area and bathroom so this was a brilliant surprise. All staff, from check-in to dining were really welcoming. We stayed two nights and had breakfast included both mornings which had plenty of choice and was really nice. We ate dinner on one evening and the food was delicious! Good selection and reasonably priced. This room is in a separate building across from the main hotel and is by a road. If you are a light sleeper the external noises may bother you. The only negative was the matress in the double bedroom, it's either old or a bad mattress and was rather uncomfortable. Overall would highly recommend.
