"This was our third girls trip to Big Oak Lodge and it did not disappoint. The setting is gorgeous and relaxing. Great pool...the slide is so much fun. Perfect place to enjoy a sunset with a glass of wine. This year we were able to watch the lunar eclipse and all the stars. It was wonderful. We'll be back. Thank you."

"The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good - nice selection, sausage, eggs, three kinds of juice, coffee, rolls, fruit, etc. and ..waffles. Dining area adjacent to lobby was spotless and every item fresh with hot things hot and cold things cold. Some things show their age, but the price is great for the location. Everything worked - plumbing, room temp, refrigerator, microwave, TV, USB chargers, ...everything. We've stayed there before and will again."

"My 2 friends and I thought it was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Our only complaint had nothing to do with the house or host, but the heat! We wanted to sit outside on the deck, but it was too hot. Thank goodness for the view of the Osage River through well-positioned windows! The river was low, so we opted not to use the kayaks. That said, we 3 highly recommend this VRBO as a getaway or as convenient location to Jefferson City without being in JCMO."
