"The property would have been great only if they picked up our luggage from the bus port. It is high up in the mountain, very difficult to drag your luggage. Not enough warning provided as to how difficult it would be to take your baggage. No taxi, no pick up, I saw other guests who almost cried, dragging their luggage up to the hotel often on narrow oncoming traffic."

"Quite simply, wonderful. Richard and the team couldn’t have been more polite and attentive. From Richard’s stories to the friendly service, the Villa Clementina is a fantastic place to unwind. Nestled part way up the hill in Colonno on the Western side of Lake Como, any spot commands amazing views of the lake. The food and service at their restaurant is amazing and the staff so friendly. The continental breakfast and the made-to-order items are incredible and the evening service cements this place as one of favourite restaurants in the area. They offer beautifully prepared food with a preference for local ingredients, some of which are grown on-site.
The infinity pool is compact and beautiful but a little too chilly for our October stay.
We drove from Linate, finding the reserved parking on the ground floor of the nearby multi-story easy to access and convenient.
The only slight downside is the relatively infrequent ferry service from the Colonno pier, being a smaller town it’s just not as popular so not as well connected as other towns (although we were staying just outside peak season, which may have been a factor in the timetable). Plan around it though or take a car (or private boat tour) and it’s fine. Villa Carlotta just North up the coast and Belaggio an hour by ferry. Lovely place. We’ll definitely be back again."
"Hotel Belvedere is an excellent place to stay - lovely location overlooking Lake Como - wonderful friendly staff - excellent service who assisted us in everything we needed and replied quickly - top quality service - I will recommend it to everyone who visits Lake Como!"
"The home was impeccable, Carla was a very gracious helpful host, gave us a whole lot of information to make the most out of our two day stay. I couldn’t get the nespresso maker to work so she came back again to show me. She even gave me a little gift. Thank you Carla we will never forget you omit your piece of heaven. "
Comfortable, fully equipped villa with magnificent views of Lake Como
10/10 Excellent
"The house is very nice and fully equipped. It has a nice balcony to enjoy the scenery. It has an ample size private parking lot. Although address is easily accessible, GPS doesn't help you to find it easily. I followed host's directions. I am attaching a google map picture to show where to exist from main road to get to the house. There is a mini market in walking distance."
Lovely Apartment with Pool and Breathtaking Lake Views
10/10 Excellent
"Breathtaking view of the lake from this fabulous apartment. 100% would recommend. Brian is a fantastic host, responding quickly to any questions I had. Also very accommodating with requests. Beds and pillows are very comfortable too. Pool area is small but lovely with comfortable loungers and chairs. The walk down to the village is quite steep ... not so bad when walking down but hard coming back so maybe not so good for those with mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave!"
Magnificent 180-Degree Lake Views of Lake Como from the Terrac
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed this unit for 7 nights in September 2025. The photos of the unit accurately depict its interior. However, the photos of the view from the terrace do not do it justice. The view is truly spectacular. I know that you can pay much much more for a unit on Lake Como which would not have half as nice of a view of the lake. We did not have a car during our visit, but we were able to use the ferry system each day to visit Bellagio, Menagio and Varena (our favorite) without any problem. I am 74 years old, so I was concerned about the steep walk down to the town center and ferry dock. The walk down was pleasant, but the walk back up did require me to rest a couple of times. Just before leaving on our vacation, my wife (77 years old) suffered a mobility problem, so not even the walk down was possible for her. The host family rescued our vacation, as they also operate a small livery service, which they made available to us each day for a very reasonable fee, enabling us to access the town and the ferry system. They could not have been more accommodating, answering all of our many questions prior to our arrival, as well as helping us with whatever needs we had during our visit. If Lake Como is on your bucket list, this unit is the one to rent. "
