"Hotel Metropol was perfect for our quick stay in Basel. It is located steps from the train station. The staff is helpful. When we arrived before check in to ask if we could store our luggage while sightseeing, they said our rooms were ready and allowed us to check in early. How nice! We were able to walk all over the city from our hotel. We enjoyed our one-night stay here. We were not able to have breakfast at the hotel as we had an early departure the next morning. We would recommend staying here. "

"We had one of the larger rooms in the "villa" annex, and it was very spacious and comfortable. Everything was very modern, including window blinds that are operated electrically. It took a bit of experimentation to figure out what all the switches did. The walk-in shower was especially nice."

"Clean and comfortable and safe large room Interesting decor, older but not worn out Only small negative was having to climb one set of 8-10 stairs w luggage to get to the older part of the hotel. Had a lift once over there, and a nice courtyard. There during some autumn festivals so the Platz were wonderful. Good walking and excellent trams. Definitely would stay there again "
