"Woww! 10/10 recommend!! This hotel is super unique and incredibly beautiful! The architecture blends nature with old colonial style. The room we were given was huge, but no windows only a skylight in the living room area. The room had a huge jacuzzi, large shower and bathroom, and was very comfortable. The amenities are jaw dropping. There is an art museum on-site, gorgeous pool area with bar, an on-site bar, a coffee station, beautifully decorated gardens with volcano and mountain views, shops, fountains, gym and more! This hotel is a MUST if youre visiting Antigua! We stayed here our last night and glad we saved the best for last! "

"I recently stayed at Hotel El Carmen and overall had a really good experience. The staff honestly made the whole trip—they were so friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything. The room was very clean and comfortable, which I appreciated. At one point the showerhead broke, but they came and fixed it right away with no hassle, so everything stayed smooth. One of my favorite parts was the view—the volcano was absolutely beautiful, and we could even see smoke coming from it. That alone made the stay feel special. The food was a bit hit or miss. Breakfast was great and dessert was definitely a highlight, but dinner wasn’t my favorite. The drinks also weren’t very strong, which was a little disappointing. That said, the staff really made this place stand out for me. Their energy and hospitality were the best part of the whole experience, and I’d still come back because of that."

"I got asked to pay for my breakfast when it was included in the price. Took a while to sort out. Communal areas a bit noisy because of a convention but bedroom peaceful. Great swimming pool - 25 meters long!"

"Perfect central location. Staff was amazing, super friendly, helpful and flexible as I was delayed and arrived very late. I would definitely come back and spend more time enjoying all that it has to offer. I only was here for one night as I was going on the hike to the Volcano the next morning but it was a perfect five minute walk to the tour office. Gracias !"
