"I recently found this Gem after never staying there before and its now my go to hotel everytime. I've had stays ranging from a single night to ten consecutive nights. Each time it's been a consistant 10/10. It's a great place with great staff and has everything you need. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels around the country which can cost 80 one night but jump to 130 for the same room the very next day. The Kiln don't seem to follow that trend which i think is fantastic. Don't get me wrong the prices do vary slightly but in my experience it isn't very often and when they do it's by a small amount. For me that's something which is a really big plus. I've never had one issue with The Kiln and i'll be booking plenty more stays in the near future"

"Had a pleasant stay here and I extended by two additional weeks. It's in a prime location with decent enough sound-proofing and the staff are kind and considerate. Thank you Zach, Maggie and Marygate by Deuce team for hosting me. Overall, good value for money and a positive experience. Would recommend."
Lake Side Cottage

"The property is lovely and the location is fabulous. We could be walking around the lake next door within minutes of waking up, and we could reach the city and visit family within 10 minutes. Despite being next to the pub, we found it to be peaceful, and quiet with very little noise. The kitchen is well equipped, and the whole property was immaculately clean. The owner clears cares about her visitors and her property and had done everything to make our stay enjoyable. Without question, we will be back as it is one of the nicest we have had in the Wakefield area and the fact that we could bring our dog was the icing on the cake for us. I would recommend to anyone, but be mindful that the garden is not on one level, and parking on the hill is not for the faint-hearted! We we were provided with a permit but we stuck to the pub / lake car park which was much easier to navigate and quite cheap. We had coffee and cake in the cafe next door, ice creams at the lake and could have easily eaten out in the evening too! it is in a perfect location. Even though we were visiting family, our weekend felt like a holiday - thank you for having us to stay!"

Cosy Green End Retreat

"This is a nice place and substantially matches the listing description, but could use improvement in the basic essentials. Our party of four adults staying for six nights arrived to find only two partial rolls of toilet paper. There is a washer (but no detergent), a clothesline (but only one clothespin), dish soap (but no dish towels), and a kitchen rubbish bin (but no rubbish bags/liners). I checked with the host about these items and they quickly replied to let me know that they typically only provide two rolls of toilet paper and that there are plenty of stores around the area. The house was clean and presentable with the exception of a dirty baking sheet or two in the oven and a debris-clogged drain gully outside we had to clean because it overflowed when washing dishes. Bedroom 1 (referred to in a previous review as the "second bedroom") is very small and a challenge for two because you can only access one side of the bed, and the blinds on the window did not prevent light from entering the room when the sun rose every morning at 4am. If you don't need the small bedroom and don't mind buying toilet paper and rubbish bin liners for your stay, I think you will be happy here."
