"Very centrally located. Great staff. Rooms overlook forest and farm. Floors can get slippery with all the condensation. They provided umbrella in room which came in handy. Breakfast was just ok. They have an egg station to make your eggs the way you want. Fresh fruit and coffee. Very minimal options for Gluten Free. Pool is nice and central and open from 9 am to late at night. Offers beverages and food at the pool and has great Spa amenities.if I were to stay in Lafortuna again I would stay there."

"The restaurant was excellent morning, noon and night...but with the night eating it is only reservations ONLY at 6,7,8,9....but you cannot make them there at restaurant, juist at the front desk. I e-mailed them to make reservationes for that evening, and 5 days later still no response so I am very happy I made a special trip to front desk to get it taken care of. Food was great. Only problem for me was no ice machine in building #3 as I walked the floors one evening for 15 minutes and finally bumped into a local maintaince worker and he said only 1 is on the bottom floor by registration. Sad, usually there is one on all hotel floors near the elevators."

"Why an I say.. epic experience. Greeting was warm and sincere. Parking is very close to your room. The cleanliness of the resort is impeccable. Woke up early to watch the monkeys swinging into the trees. The service and the food at the restaurant was incredible. Hard to believe how quickly they prepared the news. We got to know everyone on site practically and they were so willing to share a little bit about themselves truly personalized experience We did a day and night tour to the rainforest trails, and the guides were extremely knowledgeable, patient had great eyes to find so many things that you would miss if you were even trying to look on your own. The views from their room, the volcano Lake Arenal are almost hard to believe the real, so many photo opportunities. The amount of birds we saw was much more than I would expected. The only drawback possibly is that there’s no air-conditioning in the room however, being that there’s a screen door on the sliding patio door, the flow of natural air through the room in the hum of the frogs in the background definitely made out for it. You won’t be disappointed if you stay at the Arenal observation Lodge"

"we stayed here during our first night and then our last night while traveling throughout Costa Rica. the hotel is close to the airport, although you would never know it. feels like you are far in the jungle. the rooms are large and beautifully decorated with terraces . the property and landscaping is amazing, especially the sunset pool. I had a massage, and it was excellent in a beautiful facility. We loved our dinners and breakfast at the hotel, and most of all we loved the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, especially the rooms manager. Hope to be back soon!"
