Forest retreat

This is an amazing place specially for a romantic getaway, in the middle of a rainy forest with plenty of trees and plants, we love it and definitely we recommend it.

My friends and I stayed in this hotel to explore the Central Valley and the location is perfect. The staff is friendly and helpful. We loved their breakfast options including fruit, scrambled eggs, fresh corn tortillas, rice and beans. We ate dinner there one night and it was very good. One of my friends had a beef dish and I just wanted a plate of vegetables, which was delicious. If you decide to stay here, consider bringing ear plugs as planes fly over the hotel occasionally throughout the night. We all thought the beds and pillows were too firm. Even with these issues, we would stay there again because of the amazing staff.

It is a beautiful, clean, modern boutique hotel. The staff was amazingly kind and the owner was very attentive to make sure everything was in order. The internet signal is not very good, so if you're counting on working during your holidays, I would take that into account. There is internet, it's just somewhat unstable. I loved the hotel, I wish I had had more time to enjoy, since I was there for only two nights.

best place to stay close to san jose

the rooms were very clean, lot or hooks and bars to hang things on. also 2 luggage stands to put both peoples luggage on and a lot of room in the room and shower/bathroom with an outside garden shower.Also a lot of electical outlets,way more than normal costa rican hotels. shelves and hangers what more can you ask for. They only have 5 rooms but owner is building 4 more as I write this.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. There are many trees on site which really increase the value of staying here (mango, avocado, star fruit!). The groundskeeper was very kind and picked us some fruit to try. It’s such a nice setting, and such a stark contrast from the nearby city. The property has two little streams on either side lined with shade trees and there was a lot of bird activity around. There is some construction going on and it seems that some new rooms are being built - and the workers start early to avoid the heat of the day, FYI. Overall very good, and we will stay there again

Nice little hotel with restaurant and pool

Very nice small place to stay for a night or two, nice room and comfy bed, good restaurant on site, beautiful gardens, very friendly owner and staff, made me feel very welcome. Only downside was a big mouldy stain on the ceiling of my room. Also I expected more quiet area, you can hear nearby traffic and planes landing, but overall very recommended.
