The room here was beautifully appointed, and the bed was very comfy. The property was really quiet and it had a lovely pool. It was unfortunately too cold to take a dip in winter. There was wifi available everywhere, but its speed could vary depending on where you were. It would have been nice to have some bathrobes available in the room. This place is absolutely stunning and much larger than I expected it to be. There are 3 large viewing decks so seeing animals at all hours of the day is easy. The staff are so friendly and surprised the guests with a dance and song after a boma dinner. Food also was amazing.

The minute we arrived we were greeted by lovely staff and elephants at the pool. What followed was a once in a lifetime experience. The positives - Beds are super comfy with electric blankets for those cold nights and a fan for the warm days. The food was AMAZING. I LOVED being seated with fellow safari mates and getting to know people from across the world even though we are total introverts. This was our 5th visit to Elephant Plains. It's the most affordable option in the Sabi Sands and an excellent place to stay. Since our 2022 visit, they have updated the rondovels. They're super comfortable with everything you need. Staff were great. They seem to have simplified the food options (an improvement) and the quality is great. We stayed at the AM lodge for 2 nights for our honeymoon and only wished we stayed longer. Don’t even know where to start, but our experience from the minute we entered the resort grounds to the minute we got dropped off at the airport was amazing. Staff is friendly and attentive to details, foods was ridiculously good. The hotel has private villas which are located far away from one another so you get an absolute privacy. If you Need a break from the hustle and bustle then spend a night or two tucked away here. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Safe place to stay, no worries at all.

Amazing location within the reserve. Animals right within camp. Staff are so friendly. The village tour is very worthwhile and contributes to the community if there on a Thursday.
