"Our stay at Anchorage LaQuinta was normal until the day we checked out. After leaving the hotel, I realized that I had left 2 pairs of prescription glasses and a set of Tasco binoculars. I called the front desk the next morning and reported that I forgot these personal items in our room and to please check this out with the 4th floor housekeeper. I waited 9 hours with no response. So, I called back again and was told “no items were found”. I then called back the following day (Friday), and asked to speak to the manager. I was told the manager was in a meeting and would have to call me back. After 3 hours of waiting, I called back and was then told, “the manager “Tim” was too busy to talk” I explained these items were very expensive and very personal (especially my glasses) and this was a serious matter to look into especially since I knew they were left in the room. I was then told, “he said to call back Monday”. THIS is far from a professional and courteous attitude or response! I was totally “blown off” and disregarded to the point that I didn’t call back come that following Monday and FYI, the manager never called me back (after I had left my name and number 3 different times). So, the housekeeping at this particular La Quinta is in my opinion, sketchy and the management is incompetent at best. Those 3 items should have been taken straight to the front desk. I would have gladly paid to have them shipped and also a finder’s fee. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else!"
