For someone looking to do Capri on a budget, this place is definitely good value for money. Our only real qualm was that Expedia listed it as having a pool and laundry, but there was no laundry and the pool was closed. Otherwise, hosts are very helpful and provided great recommendations on the sites to see. Utilize the local bus system and you can get anywhere on the island with relative ease. There is also a little sandwich shop just up the road from the place, highly recommend.

My wife and I loved the hotel Bussola di Hermes. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was really tasty and transportation from the piazza and back when we arrived and left was quick and easy. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Unfortunately the pool was closed because the weather was perfect! The views were great and it was an easy walk to Anacapri. Town was charming with great shopping.

You can hear people in orher rooms clearly hard to sleep Shower was so small/ hot water was very thin. Hard to wash yourself Kinda scary to walk at night because of the location No iron in the room!! Staff were helpful Breakfast very basic Old building Will not go back

thanks a lot for your review but honestly i tryed to accomodate you since the day before your arrival day!!You where just getting lost all the time ... missing boat... and even so hard to have you as a guest i tryed to help you in all the way... giving my personal whatsapp number , where you where calling me even for very stupid things... when you where in town... may for next i suggest to do not travel if you are getting in panic all the time ... i am a kind person and always going above my rule but honestly it was very hard to stay under you take care

A beautiful retreat from the bustle of the summer crowds . Easy walking to Anacapri center for restaurants , shopping and hiking trails . The staff were amazing and so friendly . We had a wonderful stay highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Great hospitable hotel in Ancapri
Easy communication with hotel rep. Picked us up from main bus stop, explained and suggested what where and when for full experience of anacapri and capri island. Good bkfst. Room is very small but comfortable the rest of hotel is updated and beautifully decorated. Will come back ciao

The most lovely stay with the most friendly staff! The property was stunning and was lovely, clean and felt comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful, the pick up from the bus stop, booking activities and recommendations on where to go on the island were so helpful and made the trip memorable! The centre of anacapri was a short walk from the hotel which felt safe at night. Beautiful stay and would love to go back!

The property stated that it had been renovated but bathroom and toilet was very old. Only painted not renovated Towels were extremely old and worn and sheets had an odour. Also there was no inroom aircon so it was warm and difficult to sleep. Town centre was a 15 minute walk but uphill and lots of steps.

You already blackmail us during your stay!! we all love this job and we do with all our love, but you as guest were just impossible!! from the breakfast time we were keeping calm but never see something as you did!!about the airconditioning as you know the hotel was full of guest and all of them asked the warmer in the night.You could not use the control for the tv or just open the window and we were so calm to show you that nothing was broken but just you had no idea of how it was working!! kindly ready all the review online of other guest!i can understand that we are not all egual as person but i do accept my limit in the life and i suggest to do the same take care hotel bussola

Wonderful stay here. Met by the friendliest of staff possible. Escorted to our room were the staff kindly transported our heavy luggage up the stairs. Extremely good information given about what we could do in Capri. Booking available through reception. Room cleanliness to a very high standard. Bed a touch uncomfortable but everything else outweighs this. Breakfast provided when booking- when you arrive at breakfast you’re greeted by the friendly staff with a smile and asked if you would like a coffee. I can’t speak highly enough about the service they provide. Transport from the hotel to taxi stand/ bus stop provided on check out. On check in be sure to have WhatsApp so the hotel can contact you to organise transport from the port. An amazing service all around. 10/10

This place was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were taken care of and felt like we were at home. The property itself is so nice and neatly decorated - the terrace was also lovely and peaceful. Rita and the rest of the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful in finding us transportation and things to do in the area. They had tons of recommendations for things nearby and GF/celiac restaurants to visit. They even went out of their way to bring us gluten free substitutes for breakfast, specifically for us. I would absolutely go back and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Capri/Anacapri!!

Such a gem! Stayed with my family of 5 and we were very pleased with the accommodations. You must walk a few minutes from the drop off point to get to the hotel but it's worth it. The staff was so amazing, and honestly meeting them was one of my favorites parts of our trip to many parts of Italy. A lovely breakfast and divine Cappuccino (or coffee of choice) were served every morning and all of our questions of where to go and how to get there were answered with pleasure. Someone was ALWAYS available to help. We LOVED it!

I enjoy the hotel, the service was excellent! The only thing that was not so good was the breakfast, they lacked sawer options with nothing but bread and butter. The beds were not the most comfortable ones but still the room was clean and the overall structure and location of the hotel are very good! Ps: streets are super narrow and the taxi cannot get you to the hotel door, better to ask them for a shuttle.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. AC works very well and keeps the room fresh It is quite a walk to Anacapri. Dining implies a walk and the roads are quite narrow with a lot of traffic. There are some improvements that can be made, specifically with regard to towels and linens

Nice hotel, but needs updating
I have very mixed feelings concerning this hotel. It is owned by a brother and sister team. I know that they work very hard to keep up with the property. Rita (the sister) was extremely helpful, providing us tips and suggestions for our stay. This hotel does not have a pool, so after touring around the island all day, there was no real central place to relax and cool down. You get your beverages out of a vending machine. We ended spending more time by the marina and Capri which is a far away, but it gave us the island vibe we were looking for, The breakfast served is local continental (some meats, cheeses and breads), nothing to write home about. The rooms need updating and better maintenance. The air conditioning did not work during our entire stay. We had to have the safe swapped out because the one in the room first had all the batteries removed, so when I replaced the batteries, it still did not work. The walk to Anacapri, was not difficult, but it could take a long time if you get lost going through the windy small streets. While I know that the owners try really hard to keep up with the place, it needs a lot of maintenance to get it up to par with the other hotels and B&Bs in the area.

Nice little hotel on Anacapri
Not the easiest location to get to but I did not mind winding through the little village streets. Not in the heart of the village but close walk and safe area. Hotel rooms are fairly small but clean, and very nice terrace with Roman statues. Quiet room, good beds but definitely not for the physically challenged. The toilet and bidet were within inches of each other that it is near impossible to use the toilet with ease. Pleasant reception, although seemed hurried, was gracious enough to help with excursion plans. Nice breakfast. Close to Blue Grotto. Scenic walk downhill to grotto but make sure you get there very early (before 10am) unless you don’t mind waiting 2hours in line.

The property was very nice and clean. Breakfast was great! It was close to the main town of Anacapri. They stored our luggage and were very attentive to our needs. I didn’t like that they told us they provide transportation to and from the hotel which in the US means “free” and then at check-out charged us $30. Also at check-out, we were just expected to pay cash because their credit machine was down.

Classy and charming place to unwind.
This little hotel is a gem. Not what I expected, but actually better. It was more like a bed and breakfast and less like a resort. The rooms were lovely and we had an amazing view of the Mediterranean. We were allowed to roam the grounds, ate lunch at a picnic table in the garden, and bobbed around in an above ground pool. One of our hosts spontaneously brought us a plate of apricots and plums from their trees that were warm from the sun and so delicious! Beds were nice, but Italian which for us fat Americans means a little too hard. Don’t be shy to call and see if they can pick you up in Anacapri, or even at the ferry if they’re able. There’s a charge for that but it’s less than the taxi. Be ready for a wild ride on narrow roads with crazy switchbacks as you climb up and up. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful and way too short. I loved this place.

Nice location near the town center of Anacapri
The location is perfect, about a 5-7 minute walk into the center of Anacapri town where you can access the bus that takes you to other parts of the island (beach, lighthouse, Capri town, marina....), or to the chairlift to the top of Monte Solaro. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Rooms are very small but clean.

Perfect hotel
The hotel was a little hard to find after the taxi dropped us off but once we go there we were welcomed with opened arms. The couple that was there was so friendly and provides great tips on sight seeing and restaurants. Anacapri was a treat because we were within walking distance of quaint town with great food and shopping and then a short taxi ride to Capri. Hotel was perfect and well-priced and Capri was beautiful. Breakfast was good too.

Staff was great. Very knowledgeable about the area ins/outs, places to eat, how to get around what to see. Million dollar view from hotel terrace. Mattresses were hard and never did find the individual room controls for the air-conditioning. Make sure to call for pick-up so you can get to the hotel and get oriented to where you are before you start exploring

Amazing Staff
We stayed in the hotel for one day and the staff there made sure our stay was a memorable one. We were amazed by how nice and friendly the staff were. As soon as we checked into the hotel, they gave us a map of Capri and told us where the best sites were. In the morning we came down, had lovely breakfast and again the staff attended to all our needs promptly. Because we had a lot of luggage they even gave us a free lift to the bus stop! The hotel staff were very nice and the hotel is kept very clean. However, wifi was slow and sometimes doesn't work and the air conditioner in my room was barely working either. Not very good value for money; but I guess it's perhaps a common phenomenon on Capri island.

The staff at Hotel Bussola was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! Very friendly, helpful with directions and had wonderful recommendations! They recommended La Rondinella for dinner and we really enjoyed it-- a little pricey (hey, you're on Capri!!) but very tasty food. This hotel is about a 12 minute walk from main piazza of Anacapri, away from the noise of the center. It was nice to get away from the noise and hustle and bustle and just unwind. Hotel was clean and aircon was a plus. Rooftop terrace was lovely to watch the sunset.

The owners were pleasant & accommodating. The hotel looks amazing, clean, grand décor in hallways upper & lower terraces very comfortable. The room however was not comfortable, very hard bed, dirty bathroom floor, small plastic shower enclosure. Continental breakfast was unsatisfactory nothing was fresh, only packaged dried-out cakes, crackers. Coffee was okay.

No Wi-Fi / Hotel Staff not friendly
Wi-Fi seems to be limited to only 1st floor and a little bit on the stairs. Signal is really bad. Staff are in a rushing mode and always seem to be in a hurry. If you're impatient, you'll have problems dealing with the staff.

Dear guest, thanks for your message. We are very glad to inform you that in each room there is password for wifi and sometimes guest forget to read ( with out password internet doesnt work). All said that we are really kind but my be we was with you impatient so sorry for this. thanks for all :))
