A beautiful retreat from the bustle of the summer crowds . Easy walking to Anacapri center for restaurants , shopping and hiking trails . The staff were amazing and so friendly . We had a wonderful stay highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Lovely hotel with super kind hosts!

The hotel is excellently located in Anacapri far from the hustle and bustle. From the hotel, there is a super scenic walk (15 mins downhill) to the popular Blue Grotto. The hotel owners Rita and Cristian are kind and extremely helpful. I highly recommend hotel Bussola!

What a beautiful place!

The hotel is most beautiful: white with blue ceramic floors, the terrace is framed with antique sculptures. The room had the sea view. The staff contacted us with tips on how to get to a place from which their driver picked us up. The stay was so pleasant we didn't want to leave.

Hotel Bussola, while in a safe and clean location, does have some drawbacks, namely the small shower in the bathroom reminiscent of a cruise ship shower, the interior location that requires you to walk about 15 minutes to get to central Anacapri (there is a complimentary pick up service that picks you up halfway from your journey up from Capri to Anacapri via taxi or bus to the hotel and back to the bus stop). Breakfast options are okay, but the room was clean, small bathroom/shower concern aside. Staff was friendly and helpful regarding questions about getting around the area and things to see. Can get tickets for chairlift and boat tour of Capri at discounted rate at front desk if you book through the hotel. At the rate we had booked the hotel room for, it's on the pricier side given the accommodations, you may find better value elsewhere.

This hotel was the best we have ever been to! The personal service is amazing! They are so friendly and it’s not because you are a visitor. Their personality is a rarity these days! Friendly, homely, quiet and they help you with everything to make your visit enjoyable and pleasant! Highly recommend!

We felt this was a great value for level of accommodations. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was one of the few I really enjoyed in Europe (Americans like protein for breakfast!) Unfortunately there was no outdoor eating area as pictured that I had envisioned but they mentioned there were some things under construction outside that will be open soon. Do know it is a pleasant 7 min walk to town. Also note that it is the high mountainous area of Anacapri which is a long ride down the cliff to any beach areas. This would not have changed our choice but we would have gone to the beach the first day before checking in if we would have known. The taxis are quite expensive to get anywhere and uncharge you for breathing. Great place, stay here. Eat, sleep and be merry!

For someone looking to do Capri on a budget, this place is definitely good value for money. Our only real qualm was that Expedia listed it as having a pool and laundry, but there was no laundry and the pool was closed. Otherwise, hosts are very helpful and provided great recommendations on the sites to see. Utilize the local bus system and you can get anywhere on the island with relative ease. There is also a little sandwich shop just up the road from the place, highly recommend.

Trip to Capri

The hotel staff were super friendly & nice. The location was fairly far from the Ferry & long walk from the taxi drop. Rooms were not good, shower was terrible, shower head was all blocked & was the worst showering experience. But hotel staff were super nice, they helped with our luggage on check out to help us do the gondola & brought our luggage to us once we were done to help us get to ferry on time.
