Amsterdam Farm Lodge: 3 bedroom holliday home

Experience an 'off the beaten track' accommodation just on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Amsterdam Farm Lodge is a spacious and comfortable place to stay, located within the urban farming project NoordOogst. Here you can enjoy a quieter setting while remaining within easy reach of Amsterdam's city centre.

Welcome to our spacious first-floor apartment (European first floor; you need to climb stairs), designed with families in mind. The apartment is situated in a child-friendly environment and offers a comfortable and practical base for exploring Amsterdam.

Inside, you'll find two bedrooms with two single beds each, as well as a bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 cm). The sofa in the living room can also be converted into a double bed (160 cm). The apartment has a generous living and dining area, a bathroom, a separate toilet and a functional kitchen equipped with the essentials. It can accommodate up to eight people, excluding babies.

Families are welcome. Baby beds, high chairs and a changing mat are available on request.

The entire apartment is private and exclusively for your use. It is part of a building with seven other holiday apartments.

Outside, you can enjoy the sunny terrace and the shared outdoor areas. Picnic tables provide space to relax, and our free-roaming chickens may occasionally come by to investigate.

Our approach to the environment

We try to make thoughtful choices when renovating, furnishing and maintaining Amsterdam Farm Lodge. Where possible, we have reused second-hand furniture and materials rather than buying everything new. For cleaning, we use products with an eco-certification, and where practical we work with local businesses and suppliers.

The gardens around the lodge are managed without pesticides. We allow parts of the grounds to grow more naturally, which provides space for plants, insects and other wildlife. This also means that the gardens may look a little wilder than a conventional ornamental garden, and you may encounter insects.

Because of the surrounding water and vegetation, mosquitoes are common during the Dutch summer. Occasionally, a small animal may also find its way into an apartment. We recommend keeping food properly stored to avoid attracting wildlife.

Our chickens roam freely around the premises. They are harmless and may approach guests out of curiosity. You may occasionally find some chicken droppings on the terrace – it is, after all, a place where people and animals share the same surroundings.

We do not claim to be a completely sustainable accommodation. Instead, we try to reduce our environmental impact through practical choices in the way we renovate, furnish and operate the lodge.
