Boutique Hotel & SPA Au Charme Rabelaisien

"We LOVED this boutique hotel! I wish we had more time to spend there and would definitely come back in a heartbeat. The staff was welcoming, fun, kind and spoke great English. We had one of the guest rooms in the rear of the property by the pool and loved the little patio and view. This is great for couples and even families. It’s a small property but the best experience. They also have parking in the back that you can access after checking in. We had a full sized car and it fits but is tight like all parking in France. Zero complaints and we highly recommend this hotel."

"Close of what we want to see in the area, what we didn't like it was the room! Small. with two bathrooms, one for shower and one for the necessities! But is Europe, not the USA!"

"I wish the staff would have told us about the tram the first day so that we could have used it earlier. As well, we did not love the food served at the hotel restaurant. It was expensive for the meal and not really many choices. Staff was amazing otherwise."

"Reception was very friendly and helpful re parking my car. Throughout my 2 day saty staff were very competent, efficient and helpful in ll situations. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of food available. Bed very comfortable; bathroom excellent. The hotel is a bit "tired" in terms of decor, carpeting etc. - couls do with a facelift."

"The view was amazing. The room was well decorated, very comfortable, and very convenient to the main tourist areas. I highly recommend doing dinner at Le Shaker right across the bridge from the hotel for a great view, amazing food and reasonable price. The only complaint is that the Air Conditioner had a pretty loud buzz every couple of minutes. I didn't mention it to the staff, but surely the maid heard it."

"Helpful staff clean fairly standard room. Unfortunately pool not open till 11am on day of departure so we couldn't use. 20 min walk to the town Square so perfectly possible. Great location overall."

"This is our go-to for travel in and out of Tours since it’s immediately adjacent to the TGV station. It’s always clean and the staff always pleasant. Everyone we have encountered also speaks pretty good English. This is not a fancy-pants hotel with luxe appointments, but always reliable. They have a parking lot and excellent little pates de fruits bonbons at the reception desk."
