cottage of the Small Mass

Ideally located in the center of Amboise, the cottage of the small mass is 200 m from the entrance of the castle. Close to all amenities, you will find the main restaurants, ice cream parlor, delicatessen, bakers and a Carrefour city within a radius of 250 m.

This ideal location is nevertheless quiet because located off the street in an outbuilding of the hotel Joyeuse dated 16th century. In the shelter of the large porte-cochère, you will be able to relax at your leisure after your walks and visits, or dine in a French garden.
From the main bedroom you will have a view of the river Amasse.
Finally a closed parking place at night is at your disposal. You will only have to ask your car to visit the castle, Clos Lucé (10 minutes walk), you walk along the Loire or dinner in town and take it back only for the surrounding sites 15 minutes from car about: Castle of Chenonceau, Castle of Chaumont, Aquarium of Touraine.

Magical even in January

When we drove through the historic gate we entered a medieval paradise, the garden was beautiful even on a rainy day in January! This unit was ideally located within walking distance of the town shops and restaurants. Views from 2nd floor bedrooms were beautiful, just note that stairs would be a challenge if one had mobility Issues. Amboise is a charming welcoming town and manageable size to walk and explore

Delightful!

This property has been lovingly updated. Such a pleasant place to stay. The windows can be opened to let in fresh air. In the evenings we needed to turn on the heating system which worked well. There’s a tiny washing machine and a drying rack. The kitchen, living area, and the ONLY toilet are located downstairs. The two bedrooms, tub and sink, are located upstairs. That was the only drawback, not having the toilet In the bathroom. It’s walking distance to many sightseeing spots, restaurants, and shopping. The garden In the courtyard was well-maintained and peaceful. I highly recommend this property!

We only stayed for one night, but would happily have stayed much longer. The cottage is located in the heart of Amboise, but is such a tranquil spot. It is very well equipped and well presented throughout. The garden is lovely and our spaniel spent a lot of time exploring! Absolutely recommend as a place to stay and really good value for money.

This thoroughly modernized cottage has kept its old French atmosphere. Outside is a heavenly formal garden. We easily walked everywhere. We absolutely loved it.
