Beautiful location with everything you need to hand. The house was clean and conveniantly located. There was issues with the hot water being very hit and miss so had several unhappy members having to take cold showers if somone got there first. There was also a bat living in the wall of the main bedroom thet kept waking me up flying round the room in the middle of the night which started as a plus because the kids was amazed but ended with me being rather tired by the time it got to check out.

Excellent property with high standard of finish and decoration. Very warm despite the cold weather outside. The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. Everything was great and we can’t wait to return.

Great location and comfortable stay

Great stay a woodbine cottage. It's a great location for all the shops and pubs, and some fabulous hiking from the door. Good sized accommodation for 4, but maybe tight for 6 as the bunk beds are very rickety and small, so maybe not advisable for small children.
