"This is a wonderful little spot to stay. We have been before and love the walks around Jane Austin’s home and Gilbert Whites lands. The Hay Barn if fully equipped, clean and in a wonderful village location. A short walk to the local pub the Rose and Crown for dinner is a must. Thank you to our wonderful host for making this a smooth stay."

"The White House suited our needs for the weekend whilst attending a local wedding. The location was great and the setting really relaxing. We were a family of 6 adults and a baby so having the 5 bedrooms worked well. It was nice to be able to sit outside in the evening. However, points for consideration for future guest visits:- We only had tepid water in the ensuite and house bathroom so not ideal We did get a call saying the garden was overdue a lawn cut but it would have been nice to see this done prior to our arrival The recycling bins were absolutely full of bottles prior to our arrival There was no 'welcome pack' as we were told there would be It would be nice to have better quality bedding"

"My wife and I stayed at the cottage for two weeks. The pictures and description of the cottage and area were accurate. We really liked the Hampshire/Candover area, which is beautiful for hiking and touring around. Peter was very enjoyable and helpful. When the microwave broke down, he arranged for an immediate replacement the next day. The house and garden provided great privacy, with only the sound of birds, the occasional deer and other wild animals. Almost every day, we used the tennis court for our morning workout. The court surface is a bit worn, but good enough to play and very nicely located on the premises. In other words, we can warmly recommend a stay at the cottage in the grounds of Dower House. Mark and Mariet N."

"An idyllic location with the forest on your door step. The lodge is clean, bright, airy and cosy. Fantastic weekend with a trip into Alton and and a walk around their local craft fair which happens once a month. Our timing was perfect. If you like craft fairs selling local produce and stalls selling hand made crafts this is well worth a visit, just check dates that the fair is on. We only stayed for the weekend but would highly recommend staying here and enjoying all the things that are on offer in the vicinity."
