Vacationing @ "HERE ON THE BAY"

Vacationing @ "HERE ON THE BAY"

8/10 Good
"The house is older and a little sad but it has a million dollar view. Two nice decks but no shade in the evening. Could use a few umbrellas only real complaint we had was the lack of any airflow downstairs. The room desperately needs a screen door or newer windows that open. If you have a group of friends or family it’s ideal. Senior citizens not so much the steps are a challenge, very steep."

"Stayed with my husband, 2 year old and 5 year old. Staff was friendly. Pool was warm and clean. Location was nice. They do have a small workout/ fitness area. The restaurant was delicious and simple, breakfast is a great price while dinner was a little more higher priced than some of the places around. Good experience, will definitely be back!"

Pet -friendly Cabin on Lake Superior at Sunset Cove Resort

10/10 Excellent
"We have nothing but good things to say about our stay here. The cabin was adorable, everything worked as it should, The location was great for all of the things we wanted to do. Irenes pizza was yummy as was the Baraga Drive in. Everyone we spoke with was kind and helpful. Lynn was responsive and if we make it back up to this part of the state again there is no where else we would rather stay. Oh and did I mention the three eagles that perched in the tree nearby that we saw daily from the yard? Beautiful."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Alberta?
The best time to visit Alberta, Michigan, is during the summer months, particularly from June to August, for the most pleasant weather and access to outdoor activities.During these months, you'll experience warm temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 27°C, which is ideal for enjoying the natural beauty of the area. The days are long, offering ample daylight for exploring the surrounding forests and lakes. This period is great for those who enjoy hiking, fishing, or simply relaxing by the water.Autumn, from September to October, also provides a beautiful experience, especially for nature lovers and couples. The changing leaves create a spectacular display of colours, making it a picturesque time for scenic drives and photography. While the temperatures are cooler, usually between 10°C and 18°C, the crisp air and fewer crowds can make for a very enjoyable and tranquil trip.Conversely, winter (November to March) brings cold temperatures and significant snowfall, often below freezing. While this appeals to those interested in winter sports like cross-country skiing, it can limit access to some attractions and make travel more challenging for others.
