Magnuson Hotel Copper Crown
10/10 Excellent
"Older decor, but very clean. Awoke during night to use bathroom… itvwas duper warm in there. I hadn’t seen the separate thermostat behind a hand towel. The breakfast was waffles, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches. Adequate. Loved the traditional saunas… there were two! There was a shower inside the sauna area& you could lock the door for privacy."
Ramada by Wyndham Hancock Waterfront
8/10 Good
"The location and waterfront was nice. Didn't realize there was no elevator not something we thought to check and not an issue for our party. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean. Bathroom was dated and the breakfast offered wasn't great. Enjoyed the pool sauna and hot tub. Staff was friendly and had good reccomendations"
Best Beach on the Keweenaw - Big Traverse Bay on Lake Superior
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful setting, large windows face Lake Superior and the view is wonderful. The recliner sofa and a chair are comfortable and the wood stove makes for cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is very well-equipped. Despite mostly cloudy weather and some rain we enjoyed multiple waterfalls, great fall color, The Den restaurant in Houghton, yooperlite hunting and The Jam Pot for baked goods. We will definitely be back!"
Serene Lake Superior Escape Beachfront Getaway or Snowy Ski Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"The property was as advertised. Jason and Misty were very helpful with the entire process as we prepared for our stay at their property. They allowed pets which was nice and critical for us because we have a couple dogs. Misty also provided some great recommendations on places to eat in the area. Their property is right on Lake Superior, and you can sit on their enclosed porch in the morning and watch the waves come in. They also have a nice fire pit with chairs just above the beach so you can also sit out in the evening and enjoy the lake. This time of year, the leaves were in full color so even the drive to their property was very enjoyable. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and thoroughly enjoyed their house and hospitality."

Historic Coast Guard station on Keweenaw Bay, walking distance to beach!
8/10 Good
"We highly recommend the power house, a beautiful and unique historic property, right on the waterway where the end of the Portage River meets Keweenaw Bay. There are three buildings, all owned by the same family, but only the power house is currently used and available to rent. The other two are being renovated. This building once supplied power (via cable) to a nearby lighthouse, and it has been extensively renovated. It has a very large comfortable, well-furnished and equipped living/dining/kitchen area as well as a separate den. There are two bedrooms, one with king bed and twin bunks, the other with a queen bed, and a rather small but adequate bathroom with shower. There is a TV with no cable but you can stream programs with your own subscriptions. Cell service worked well there. The property is quite private and very quiet. We are not beachgoers but there is a nearby beach. The water views from the property are beautiful and you can watch the occasional boat and float plane go by. There is outside seating to enjoy it all. The place has a very well-equipped kitchen and a nice large dining table, but if you don't want to cook, Dreamland restaurant is 10 minutes or so up the road, and they have good food and drink. Otherwise, stock up before arriving as it's 20 minutes or more to the closest store. Excellent directions were given to access the property and get the key. Kristin, the owner, is not on-site but responds very quickly to phone calls and texts."
Take in Lake Superior breathtaking views! Centrally located with a Sauna and A/C
10/10 Excellent
"The place is exactly as described, water access, but see the picture! Bunk room, but see the picture! Except I don’t think the pics do the view justice! Waking up in a comfy, king bed to the waves of Lake Superior?!Incredible! A/c is crispy as heck! Hosts are the quickest communicators! Not a single problem for us! Dog friendly too! (Bonus, the Gay Bar is just a hop, skip and a jump away - totally fun place)!"
Stunning 4 Season New Beach House - Big Traverse Bay on Lake Superior!
10/10 Excellent
"We’ve been coming to this area for the past six years for the fall colors and have stayed at numerous properties along the way. I’m happy to report that this one is hands down our favorite! The access to Lake Superior is absolutely perfect. We especially loved our sunset swim in the lake, which was such a memorable part of our stay. Mornings spent drinking coffee on the deck, watching the sun rise, feeling the breeze flow through the home, and listening to the waves were just as wonderful. The view is spectacular, and the sauna is a classic UP addition. Our group of six fit perfectly in the home, and Ann is a fabulous host. The house was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need, and the fall decorations were such a cute, welcoming touch. The kitchen deserves its own shoutout! The selection of cooking utensils, seasonings, and other essentials was exceptional, better than anywhere we’ve stayed before. We truly had everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together. The kitchen table was also perfect for meals, games, and spending time together as a group.Even without air conditioning, the airflow throughout the home kept it comfortable and cool. Every detail made this a wonderful place to stay, and it’s clear how much thought has gone into making guests feel at home. We’ve loved exploring this area over the years, and this property has officially set the bar for future stays. We would absolutely love to come back and highly recommend it to anyone!"
Water lovers Dream! Gorgeous modern updates with a rustic flare!
8/10 Good
"House was very clean. The renovations that were made were very nice. The yard between the house and lake was very nice. Beautiful flowers around the house were very nice. It is a small house probably best for just two adults. Decorated nicely and very well furnished with towels, utensils,"
