"Incredible scenery, tucked in between the mountains of Peru. Hugo has a wonderful home. Lots of space with a fenced in yard, swing set and cabana. We enjoyed every inch of the space. Full kitchen was great for cooking and eating dinner in. The cabana was warm and bright in the morning sun for having breakfast. Their distance from town is far enough way for a quiet night's sleep, and close enough to walk into town if you're feeling adventurous! Heated showers were a welcomed feature. "

Felt very safe! except we had trouble getting wifi password and ended up going out to the shop at night to buy something connect to their wifi and call the host for password. Improvements needed- 1. "The hotel was really nice and staff very helpful. However, the hotel is located next to a restaurant which hosted a kid birthday party until 8.30 pm and an adult birthday party until 4 am. We did not sleep at all. Rough, when we hiked Machu Picchu the following day. I founded myself speaking the police in the middle of the night. They did not intervene. We liked the hotel but glad we don’t have to spend another night there, worrying if we will be able to get sleep"

"This, by far, was the noisiest hotel I’ve stayed at. Chairs scraping on hard floors, every footstep on the open staircase, loud music, carrying voices, slamming doors. Just the worst. The room did not in the slightest look like the pictures. It was a stuffy, tiny room with no window to outside; rather, it opened to some kind of shaft that allowed no fresh air. I paid about US$90/night, which is a little higher than other local hotels. On the bright side, the restaurant was excellent and the staff were friendly. I would not recommend this property and regret my choice to stay here."
