“Not for drivers”
Room clean and comfortable. Great view of castle and river. New carpet needed.
“Convenient to the Avon and the new theatre”
I was surprised when I opened the door for my room and discovered a small suite. There was a small sitting room, and then a hallway to the bedroom with the en-suite bathroom off the hall. My only quibble is that the sitting room was quite dark at night. There was only a lamp on the desk with a low wattage bulb. I wanted to read the program when I returned from the theatre and wished that there had been a good reading by the chairs. I ended up sitting, not so comfortably, on the side of the bed in the well lighted bedroom. The bed was comfortable, the hotel quiet and the breakfast buffet plentiful.

The Mc Donald Swan Hotel was one of the high lights of our trip The only complaint was some difficulty with parking, but when we asked at the desk they told us we could park in a neighbouring hotel.The staff were helpful, and always responded positively to our requests.It was situated in a beautiful part of Stratford upon Avon, with only a short walk to the shops.The rooms were a good size,air conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and edible and the view from the windows was great. Would love to go back again.

The entrance to the hotel was very secluded. We had to drive around the hotel two times before finding the entrance. There was no sign. Shower was not runnıng properly. The bathroom was very clean. Towels were soft, and clean. The room was just the right size for a standart room, and it was clean. The reception desk was very helpful and smiling.The restaurants they reccommended us were very good.
“Good but could be better”
For the most part, the hotel was fine, but I missed little things that I have almost come to expect, such as bathroom supplies (e.g.,toothbrush,razor). I used a business room for two and a half days, and it remained a mess from the last users the entire time (although they must have come in once to provide a fresh supply of bottled water).

delightful, was there two days was in walking distance of most all, including the rsc, saw 2 plays, had been in uk for over a week swans nest was the first with heat it was chilly and rainy , i include northern scotland the staff was polite and considerate
“Stratford-upon-Avon”
I would warmly recommend this lovely hotel-inn to travelers visiting Stratford-upon-Avon. Conveniently located within walking distance of the town center, Macdonald's Inn offers accomodation on a budget along with gourmet dining facilites. The rooms are well-appointed and clean, there is plenty of parking space available and the staff is friendly and cheerful. We had a very nice stay.
