“Okay place to stay.”

AC/heat did not function properly. Internet was VERY expensive @ 12.50 euro/day. Not extremely convient to old town, too far to walk and not enough parking when driving. Also had to pay to park @ hotel and spaces were limited. Hotel staff was nice and spoke excellent English. Hotel was clean. Would stay again if nothing else was available.

Area recommendations

Stay in Aldtstat area. Probably cheaper for same features. AC not really needed due to nighttime temps.

Getting around

Don't expect to find parking in town!

Must see

Take river cruise to Walhalla. Bring walking shoes due to many, many stairs.

“Convenient”

It was very easy to find and access this hotel. Service was very good: I had reserved a "River View" room but checked in to find more of an "lobby rooftop and dumpster view". I asked to be moved and they did so immediately, adding free wifi because the new room was a bit smaller. They also tipped us off to a local festival in the old city about 15 minutes' walk away. The room itself was unremarkable, somewhat old for a Courtyard but more American than European when it comes to space, linens, etc. Overall, thumbs-up.

Area recommendations

Old Town Regensburg is irresistable. Beautiful bavarian architecture from 13th-18th centuries, studded with shops, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and yes - breweries. Clean but not disney-fied, historic but modern, It is a traveler's playground.

“Christmas Markets in Regensburg”

The markets in Regensburg are great! Not touristic at all. Very nice hotel with a nice walk to the old city center.
