"This unit, attached to the owners' home, is one of the nicest places we've stayed at in our travels throughout Australia. It overlooks a river and is set in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. The unit itself is compact, very well equipped and spotlessly clean, with unexpected treats provided. We had car battery problems and Peter couldn't have been more helpful. This is a top holiday unit and we can't wait to return."

"The photos of this property do not match. On arrival the building had broken glass taped up, no direction where to find a key, no support with trying to contact for help. Car park had people being erratic. Room itself smelt of smokers. The bed was ruffled. The bottom sheet not ironed. Paint was coming off the walls in the rooms. "View was absolutely amazing. Minnie Water is a beautiful little sleepy village which is fantastic for a young family stay. The beach has little surf on offer but is perfect for young ones. Some beautiful beach walks and national park walks were closeby. The home itself was adequate, but certainly needed quite a bit of maintenance. There was only one bathroom and toilet, but bathroom in particular, needed quite a few repairs. Sliding door had to be adjusted regularly to close to avoid water...

"This place is an absolute gem. Right beside the river, with an extensive garden with plenty of seats and tables to soak up the afternoon sun and sunset. Rooms are all upstairs and are beautifully decorated with quality linen and generous continental breakfast provisions (including a gluten-free muesli). Restaurant was also great with extensive lunch and dinner choices. My room was directly above the restaurant area but was extremely quiet. Ulmarra is a gorgeous, historic little town full of craft and bric-a-brac stores plus artists galleries. My fav part was the huge wrap-around balcony, perfect for an afternoon tea (or wine) and a good book. "
