Exceptional value for the dollar can be found at the Middle Beach Lodge located in close proximity to the town of Tofino. Fabulous lodge with friendly and tranquil atmosphere. Lovely walks on the beach right from the lodge. Explore Starfish and other low tide creatures. Rooms were small but very well appointed. The common lodge area is fabulous.

“A wonderful retreat.”

Excellent atmosphere and ambiance, very satisfying breakfasts, and lots of room to spread out in the main part of the lodge for reading, board games, or just watching the ocean pounding on the rocks. Deck area is also perfect for that. Has its own private beach. Front desk service was excellent and friendly, and everyone was very helpful. Missed the wonderful dinners I heard about (served on weekends only in March). Next time. Would return there in a heart beat.

“Lovely place for a retreat”

The lodge is a beautiful building overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Clients relax in the main building where there is a lovely view, a warm and inviting fire place and complimentary coffee and fruit etc. throughout the day. It's a peaceful, relaxing place to stay.

“LOVED Middle Beach Lodge ... Can't Wait to Return”

When you've wanted to visit a special destination for years, there's a lot of built up expectations. When you've spent a lot of money on somewhere you've never stayed, you're naturally nervous. My expectations were met - and then some - and my nerves put to ease when we arrived at MBL. Our room - part of the sixplex suites - was well outfitted and had a beautiful view of the ocean and beach below. The linens, especially the warm throws in the living room and bedroom, were soft as could be. The soaking tub with a view to the ocean was divine. MBL was everything I had hoped and more.

I stayed at Middle Beach Lodge during this, my first trip to Tofino. I arrived around 2am in pouring rain to find my key and room information left for me so that I would have a place to stay for the night. It only got better from there. Their breakfast was the best continental that I have ever had. The Lodge was very peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. It was only about a 5 minute drive into town so the location was very convenient. I will definitely stay her next time I'm in Tofino and I highly recommend this Lodge, you will not be disappointed.

Middle Beach Lodge is a great place for a reasonable price. Absolutely perfect if you are looking for a nice, quiet place where you can enjoy the beauty of Tofino's nature. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent.

“Great stay June 2009”

Beautiful location, fantastic design, delicious breakfasts. Relaxing jacuzzi, soft bathrobes (that we even bought when we left), great bed. Above all - tenderest salmon for dinner caught by yourself in the morning and cooked in the kitchenette. It's more than a holiday - it's a miracle! It was worth flying over the half globe from Moscow ;))! p.s. We arrived pretty late and were pleased by clear instructions how to find our unit and a welcoming package that was very timely! thanks.

“A Little Touch of Paradise”

If you are looking for a boutique hotel, this isn't the place for you. If you are happy with forest lodge style accomodation - then read on. I don't care that the rooms are a little care worn and that the paint scheme is twenty years out of date - everything is forgotten when you look out the window. It's a setting to die for. The hotel occupies a tiny footprint in the virgin forest, it's perched on a rocky rise overlooking a gorgeous beach. It's a place to walk hand-in-hand across the sand and take a little time from the rat-race. Forget the decor and breakfasting at a tressle table squeezed in with the other guests. It really doesn't matter and you soon make friends with everyone else who is blown away by this hotel.

“Very Pleasing.”

The Middle Beach Hotel was most welcoming upon arrival. The lounge area surrounding a grand fireplace had many comfortable chairs and chesterfields with views of the beach or the crackling fireplace. The ability to pour a cup of coffee, tea, water, or hot chocolate was available any time of day or night. Great to take a cup with us on a drive to a local beach. The sound of the surf very comforting. Cookies smelled as good as they tasted prior to heading to our room for the night. Breakfast in the morning offered us a variety of foods, fresh baked muffins, cinnamon buns, croissants, eggs, bread to toast, fresh grapefruit, apples, oranges, bananas, yogurt, cereals etc. Staff were most helpful with local info and suggestions on where to go.
