“Peaceful setting, on a bus route to the Old City of Jerusalem”

The Ramat Rachel Hotel is a marvelous place for non-Jewish people to experience some Jewish culture. The setting is a 10 minute walk from an archeological site dating from 600-700 BC, and is right on a bus route (45 minutes) to downtown Jerusalem. The food and service were excellent. If you want to walk out your door and be in the hustle and bustle of the city, this is not the place to go, otherwise I would highly recommend it.

“A good choice”

I stayed in a number of hotels in Israel about this price range and found that the Tal compared well. Didn't see any of the shabbiness i saw elsewhere. Breakfast was reasonable but nothing to write home about. If visiting Tel Aviv again i would consider the Tal as one of my options.

“Basic one night stay”

This is a dated property at the edge of the beach area. Good access to the beach though not exactly on it. In my room the bathroom floor tiles were stained, the bathtub did not inspire confidence in it cleanliness either. Shower curtain had stains on it too. The cursory couch was filthy and the room was Spartan. Breakfast was very basic as well.
