Good LocationPosted 26/08/2013
Pros: The best part of staying in this hotel is the location. The whole family enjoyed our stay ( kids ages 12 and 15), I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: The exterior and part of the interior could use a facelift. Parking for hotel guest would be helpful.
Location: The beach is a 3 minute walk, the promenade about 7-10 minute walk, and Deizengoff street about 10-15minute walk.
Good breakfast, helpful staff, Room was clean and nicely furnished, but small. The lobby is nicely furnished but hallways are a bit tired looking Parking was difficult and expensive. We ended up parking the car about a 1/2 down the street at a free lot that the front desk told us about..

Basic one night stayPosted 07/07/2012
This is a dated property at the edge of the beach area. Good access to the beach though not exactly on it. In my room the bathroom floor tiles were stained, the bathtub did not inspire confidence in it cleanliness either. Shower curtain had stains on it too. The cursory couch was filthy and the room was Spartan. Breakfast was very basic as well.

Comfortable and in a great locationPosted 08/11/2011 on Hotels.com
I stayed at the Tal during a 5-day business trip to Tel Aviv in early November 2011. The staff is not the most warm and friendly I have ever encountered at a hotel; but then again, I find that to be the case virtually anywhere you go in Tel Aviv...the people are just not warm, friendly people in general. So you don't always get the best first impression when checking in. The room was very clean and comfortable and actually quite spacious compared to many hotels I've stayed in. The hotel has free wireless internet which is a great feature. It is not the fastest internet out there, but it is reliable and you can log in with multiple devices (laptop, smartphone, iPad, etc.) There is a nice breakfast buffet that has a very wide variety of foods and the restaurant is clean and unpretentious. The best part of this hotel is the location. It is a very short walking distance to the Port where there are quite a few restaurants, shops, and places to grab a drink. It is also right next to the beach where it is easy to get out for a walk or run. It also sets on Hayarkon which is a busy thoroughfare which makes it easy to catch taxis or quickly get farther south toward Old Jaffa. This street can be a bit noisy and you can hear it at times from the hotel rooms; but it is not an overwhelming sound and anyone who lives in a city won't even really notice it. I was a bit nervous about booking this hotel, but it was certainly a nice place to stay for 4 nights and I would stay there again if I ever need to go back to TLV.

Peaceful setting, on a bus route to the Old City of JerusalemPosted 15/04/2011
The Ramat Rachel Hotel is a marvelous place for non-Jewish people to experience some Jewish culture. The setting is a 10 minute walk from an archeological site dating from 600-700 BC, and is right on a bus route (45 minutes) to downtown Jerusalem. The food and service were excellent. If you want to walk out your door and be in the hustle and bustle of the city, this is not the place to go, otherwise I would highly recommend it.

Near the beach-good stopping off place.Posted 03/02/2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel is near to the beach where surfing seems to be going on year round. The room was small but comfortable and within walking distance of the beach restaurants. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was great. We found it a great stopping off place on our way around Israel and the room was priced fairly well. The taxi fare from Tel Aviv Airport ran about $35.00 US.

Tal Hotel - Tel AvivPosted 14/09/2010 on Hotels.com
Reasonable rate for August. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location, close to town and beach. Very good breakfast. Clean room but a few broken items (chipped sink, fridge was not cold enough, A/C was either ON or OFF). Shabby carpeting in hallways. Watch out for laundry rates. Parking lot is very difficult to get in/out of, even with compact car. Slow WiFi.
