“Unfortunately a disappointing stay”

This hotel looks good in the online pictures, however the hotel is not what it is cracked up to be. The room was ok, def not a 4.5 star rating, the bathroom light did not work, the dryer did not work and the pool was a shade of green, you couldn't see the bottom because of the fogginess. The noise from the traffic was disruptive during the night and the housekeeping next door was 'thrashing' everything around, such an unpleasant stay, we left early the next morning even though paying for an extra night, we couldn't wait to get outta there!!!!!

Area recommendations

I would recommend Kent Street, Fraser Suites Hotel - absolutely brilliant in every way - could not fault it :)

“great location”

a shame the pool wasnt working or sauna a waste of time bringing bathers, kids not happy with this. ideal situated in sydney the motel has great location easy to walk into Darling habour and the city centre.

“In need of an update”

Few issues with room. Failed to service first day, then second day only gave us one clean towel. Large kitchen and small bathroom, when just basic kitchen would do. In need of a general refurbishment.

“Perfect Location”

Just returned from a lovely week in Sydney satying at the Somerset we chose to stay because of where it was situated, One street away from Cockle Bay Wharf and Harbourside Shopping Centre which is where we spent a lot of our time And in walking distance to a lot of attractions I would deffinatley recomend this Hotel.

“Great location.”

Great location. Rooms spacious and facilities perfect although it was a little tired and will need updating soon. Friendly and helpful staff.

“VERY GOOD HOTEL”

Found hotel very good and well worth 4 stars. location was great. only gripe was they had a 10 year old 48" analog TV in the room. Not happy Jan!!! Overall no problems, I would easily recommend this hotel. Word of warning though.. expedia booked us a king size bed for this hotel ( and that is one of the main reasons we pick it) but the receptionist checked the rooms roster and said they are all queen beds!!!. check with expedia first.

“not worth the money”

was not told that i needed to supply my own blankets as there was none on the bed.the quality of the furniture was not not very good.the tv didnt work very well.some reception staff werent very friendly.the money i paid for the rom wasnt worth it.the only good thing was the location

“Very impressed, clean & green.”

OUr stay was wonderful. Was centrally located, although no direct view of darling harbour, short stroll across. Rooms exceptionally clean and modern & well presented.

Area recommendations

Bridge climb was sensational. City sight seeing open top bus was great value for family & lots of fun. Street theatre is always fab at Circular Quay, along with The Rocks market stalls.

Getting around

water taxis - cheap & great views, open top city sightseeing bus was great fun & value for days entertainmnet at $80 per family of 5.
