“Top Hotel, Top Staff ...Thank you !!”

We recently booked the Salthouse for our Wedding Night .......booking of of their Top rooms with Marina view & copper bath in the room ..........i can only say WOW !! I arranged with the staff prior to our stay to have Flower & Chocolates in the room for our arrival - which they did without fuss & what a superb arrangment it was !! The hotel itself, the staff, the food & the room were all SUPERB & we couldn't fault it - we loved our brief stay. Highly recommend the Salthouse to anyone looking for that little bit more from a hotel in the Ipswich area set on the lovely marina. We will certainly be going back ......for our anniversary i think or maybe sooner !!

“a marvellous stay on the marinas edge!”

When entering the hotel the reception desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. Its always exiting to see what kind of room you have been allocated when arriving at the hotel of your choice, and we were definitely not left wanting on this occasion! When we entered the room we were 'wowed' with wonderful features, such as the brick walls and huge bed dominating the main area, and then the view over the marina. That evening we ate in the hotel brasserie, the atmosphere was relaxing and the food magnificent! The hotel is located in a tranquil part of the city.Within walking distance was the bustling centre where we found interesting shops to complete our christmas shopping. All in all we enjoyed our stay immensly and would recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues who are looking for a relaxing weekend away.

“Relaxing Stay”

Lovely room, very good food and stylish surroundings. Only downside were the waitresses who did n't seem to be enjoying their work.

“Look forward to a return to that area and staying at the Salthouse.”

The hotel is in a great spot right by the harbour. Their staff was very warm and personable and was intent on your receiving top drawer service which they delivered. We were pleased with the size of the room, the condition and quality of the room and also the things to do in that area. Look forward to a return.

“Loved It!!”

We thought this hotel in Ipswich was great. We could not fault anything, the rooms were large, clean, the bed was so comfortable, the food was lovely and the staff were really friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble. The location of the hotel was good, being able to wake up and overlook the water was a good start to the day and the town centre was only a 5 minute walk away. If you need a hotel in Ipswich I can highly recommend this one.

“Will stay here again”

My wife & I stayed here for 4 days in early November despite the weather we had a most enjoyable stay. The staff were very pleasant and we liked the food & the menu in the restauarant so much to our taste that we ate there every night. The breakfasts too were excellent.

“A Touch of Class, in Ipswich...”

Very pleasing boutique hotel, overlooking the marina, in the centre of Ipswich. Stayed there for one night, whilst visiting local friends and must say it was a lot better than I expected. Based, I think, on an old converted warehouse, it has been modernised with some quite nice touches. Staff were very pleasant. Great breakfast!

“Very nice hotel”

Excellent hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Not much parking space. We stayed on a Saturday night and had dinner at the hotel. Food was very good and nice atmosphere in restaurant. No aircon in room on a hot night so we slept with the window open and had a bit of a disturbed night due to noise from late night revellers. There was a lot of shouting at 3am which woke us. Otherwise very nice stay and would go back.
