“Great Stay”

Very nice hotel, typical of Novotel, very clean and bright. We stayed in a room for two adults and a child, with no problems. Breakfast is full hot breakfast (expensive, not surprisingly) or continental (for half the price). We walked to the tram station (10 min walk), rode the tram to the main Metro, to get to central Barcelona. Took a while (@ 45mins) but worked out OK. Not much in the way of restaurants within walking distance, except back along the tram line.

“"A Nice Surprise"”

I wasn't sure what I would find when my taxi pulled up in front of the hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. I had an early flight so I wasn't able to take advantage of the free breakfast which was a bust. The restaurant wasn't open until 7 PM which was too late for me to sample (I picked up a sandwich at a local grocery store). The staff was very pleasant and very helpful in directions to get downtown. My only problem with the hotel was that it wasn't as close to the airport as advertised (3 miles). The taxi ride was expensive to the airport.

“Brilliant! What else can I say?”

Barcelona was our first destination of our Europe trip. This hotel was just what we needed - a good place to stay for 3 nights without breaking the bank, but also dint want to spend a lot of time or money to travel to the town centre. The hotel has a tram station closeby - about 10 minutes leisure walk. Public transport in Barcelona is clean and reliable. It felt very safe everywhere in Barcelona, even late night - in the town centre, on metro/tram or walking on lonely streets near the hotel late at night. All in all, a very nice city. Anyway, the hotel is clean, has a nice bar area and the breakfast was without doubt the best we had in all of our Europe trip (though it wasn't included in the price of the room) with a good range of hot and cold meat, cakes, etc. The room was quite spacious. It's a shame that we couldn't use the pool - it was closed for winter. And the best asset of this hotel is their staff. Very friendly and really helpful. Most of them speak very good English, so we dint have any language problems at all. On one occassion, they even went out of their way to call me on my UK mobile number, while I was out sightseeing, to confirm my reservation of a dinner&flamenco show. I just couldn't expect any better service. That's why I said "Brilliant! What else?" Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely!

“Good shortbreak”

Hotel very well maintained. The only down side is that it is on the outside of Barcelona and at rush hour it takes ages to go back to the hotel (if driving of course). It is very close to the tram. The staff at the restaurant was great. Lovely breakfast.

“Great Hotel!”

I was originally worried about this hotel due to its location & thought it may have been a hassle to get to. However the tram station is less than 5 min walk away and it only takes around 30-40 mins to get in to the centre of Barcelona. The rooms were lovely and so was the pool. The staff were all very friendly, spoke good English and were always willing to answer questions and give directions. The only downside was that the bar did seem quite understaffed & you would often wait about 20 mins for someone to serve. Apart from that minor point, a great hotel!

“All in all a good hotel”

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in August/ September, I must say for the price I paid I was satisfied, my only negative is that there is no complementary tea or coffee and the hotel meals were too expensive, there are quite a few transport links into town, also there is a Chinese buffet about 10 -15 mins from d hotel. The good bits.....free WiFi, Xbox in the lobby, free internet and printer in the lobby, there is a bus directly from BCN airport, at 1.45 euros a person you cannot go wrong. My sons really enjoyed d hotel I will definately go back.

“Good Hotel to Stay in Barcelona”

Initially I was thinking that Hotel is too far from main city and Barcelona Tourist attractions. But found very convenient, I bought Barcelona Card, with which I could travel by Tram, Bus, and Metro unlimited. I hired Taxi only for Airport-Hotel-Airport. Nearby Hotel there is Mercadona (Super Market), Tram Station, TV3 Channel office, Hospital Sant Joan Despi, Farmacia, 24 hours Cash ATM and other shops, Bus Stop where I get Bus for City and Airport after every 15 minutes average.

“Great Hotel Near the Camp Nou at Reasonable Price”

The hotel was conveniently located near the Camp Nou and not far from the airport-ideal for Barcelona football fans. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Most of them spoke very good English and I heard them speak French with some guests as well. It was a kid friendly hotel with video games and other toys in a play section. Also had a Mac computer available for guests to check e-mails, make hotel or train reservations for example. The decor was very modern and pleasing. The rooms and the hotel in general was very clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant served good drinks/food - the coffee was great! On Barcelona game days it showed the game on a huge screen at the bar which was great! We were lucky to see three Barca games in one week (2 Spanish League and one UEFA Champions League game). There's a tram station nearby that takes you to nearby places and also connects you to the excellent Barcelona metro system so you won't need a car to get around. City Center or the Ramblas is just 30 minutes away in public transportation - so one can easily make this hotel the base for exploring Barcelona. On your way in or out, both the airport and the Barcelona Sants train stations are within reasonable distance so even if you have to take a taxi, it doesn't cost much. There's a Mercadona supermarket nearby if you need essentials or fruits/water/drinks to store in the refrigerator provided in the room. I'd definitely stay at this hotel if I'm back in Barcelona.

“Great Hotel”

The hotel was great, clean, service excellent. However the only thing was the presence of a smell when you entered the hotel lobby. Which they tried to mask with air freshner, which only made it more sickly. The same smell was in the hallways. The rooms were ok, thank god, apart from this, the hotel was great would stay there again. Also to keep in mind not very central, about half an hour from the airport and an hour by public transport into central Barcelona.
