The hotel service is much greater than others. The hotel is new and cool like other W brand, but each staff is so thoughtful for customers. Highly recommended.

“First Time in California”

My husband wanted to take me to San Diego for our 1 year anniversary. I picked the W Hotel and was very impressed with the attention to detail and service. When we got to our room, there was a bottle of champagne and fruit with a hand written letter congratulating our anniversary. The spa was amazing and accommodating and the rooftop bar/beach was unique.

my stay at the w was wonderful. everything in our room was so fun and bright, and the staff was so helpful! especially the concierge who helped us so many times. decor is chic, valet is super convenient, and they have bliss spa products! its a great hotel :)

“Everything I Hoped For in a Weekend Getaway Hotel”

Everyone at this hotel was cheerful and went out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The lobby decor is terrific - chic but relaxing. It really does feel like a living room in a very beautiful big beach house. The bar is terrific and it's a great place to socialize. The beach bar on the 3rd floor roof was a little claustrophobic but a fun place to spend the evening without leaving the hotel. The pool was embarrassingly small but pool season in San Diego is very short and with gorgeous beaches a short drive away, not a big deal. The hotel location is very convenient to Amtrak and the Trolley as well as the Airport (less than 10 minutes). You can walk to some terrific cafes in neighboring Little Italy, or shopping at Horton Plaza, all just a few blocks away. The rooms are comfy and it's easy to not want to go out. Bring your iPod and plug it into the dock next to the bed and enjoy the soundtrack of your life. The bed is comfortable. Don't expect a bathtub but the shower is full of pressure and you'll love the Bliss bath products that are restocked everyday. Parking is a little painful if you don't want to splurge on valet. You can find a pay lot a couple blocks away for half the price or park on the streets for free after 6 everyday and all day Sunday. I will be coming back...

Fluffy/comfy beds... cool interior design... Bliss products and super nice/professional staff. Christine's coffee cart is outside for your morning espresso.
