“Pampered in the gaslamp.”

Great place! We felt pampered. The staff was always friendly and made us feel like the most important people in the world. Great restaurants within walking distance. Don't forget to check out the rooftop, comfort and a view!

“Awesome Stay!”

If you want a very nice hotel that's right in the middle of everything, then the Andaz is for you! I loved the fact that the hotel had its own nightclubs and even though I was new to the San Diego nightlife, as a hotel guest, I was kind of treated like a VIP. As a matter of fact, the Andaz pretty much treats you like a VIP in every respect. Check-in and check-out were as easy and efficient as any place I've stayed (and I travel extensively#. The breakfast was very good, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I absolutely enjoyed my stay in every way! ps. Make sure you hit Happy Hour at Katsuya. The staff is very cool #especially Julie and Adrienne) and the kobe sliders are irresistable!

“great fun hotel”

Amazing hotel with an amazing rooftop and pool and.incredibly nice staffing. I stayed there for a quick vacation and I had the best time. The rooms are very cool and.romantic.where the showers are see through in the room. Great location within one.block of the beat bars. Will be going back to this hotel!!!

“Great Contemporary Hotel”

This hotel is definitely for the younger crowd. The rooms are fantastic and ideal for couples. The only downside is that the Hotel is located in the Gaslamp District. Also the roof deck gets pretty crazy on the weekends, so don't go expecting a quite night, but besides that it was everything I could ask for in a nice hotel. Overall, it was the highlight of my trip to San Diego. Oh did I mention that breakfast was amazing!

“Great Hotel & Staff!”

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Andaz. The staff was awesome and the complimentary Mini bar nonalcoholic drinks were a plus and was restocked daily. Also had complimentary chocolate, chips, and cereal bar. Loved the roof top and ppol area. We didn't visit during the weekend when the club is open but it looks like it would be a very nice upscale club. The staff was absolutely great and professional. We really enjoyed our stay!!!

Fantastic hotel! Super easy check-in. Lobby staff very helpful and available 24/7. Modern, stylish room with outstanding amenities, including excellent bath products and complimentary juices and snacks. Nice gym and pool facilities. Beautiful roof top bar. Great location in the Gaslamp Quarter, easily accessible for walking around the central area of San Diego. One complaint is that neighbouring bars can be very noisy and unruly at night (so pack ear plugs!) Important tip on parking: avoid expensive valet parking and negotiate a deal with the neighbourhood carpark (try the one located at corner of Seventh Avenue and E Street.) Fraction of the price for in-and-out 24-hour parking. The guys working there are very helpful and friendly.

“Great Location”

The hotel is beautiful and has a great location. My wife and I walked to several bars, the bay, a Padres game and also to the Zoo. The hotel has a pool on the roof and at night can get a little loud. I would say we were a little old for this hotel (early 40s) and younger guests would really enjoy it. We had a lot of fun.

“Great Hotel”

The hotel was gorgeous, and the staff friendly and helpful. It's very trendy and I have to say I felt a little out of place walking around in jeans, t-shirt and flipflops when everyone else, both staff and other guests, were dressed head to toe in immaculate designer gear. The hotel was noisy on Saturday night as the nightclubs were in full swing, but the other nights were fine. The room was great with a good selection of complementary drinks, toiletries and snacks. Just make sure you check which items are complementary and which are very expensive. I was also amused to find the room came with a couple of discreet sex toys for purchase. In conclusion, the Andaz is a great hotel, but not a family friendly one!

“First Class Charming Boutique Hotel”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ivey (Andaz). Great location to the Gas Lamp District. Everyone was extremely helpful and responsive and seemed to enjoy working there. Our room was great - but it was on the 6th floor and we were there for 8 nights so we heard the loug music and partying from the top level bar on Thurs/Fri/Sat nights. Oh well. We definitely reocmmend this hotel and would stay there again.
