“Great position - and everything else to back it up!”

In some 14 days in Spain, this was the best hotel we stayed in. It is in a quiet area back from a major road but only a few minutes walk to the great Plaza Mayor and many other attractions. The standard of service was exemplary. The hotel has style, comfort and class. We really enjoyed 3 days in Salamanca and this hotel had a multiplier effect on our satisfaction level.

“Excellent Hotel and location awaits”

We searched for a good value hotel in a good location. Melia Las Claras did not disappoint, the hotel and our experience in summary ´excellent quality hotel in an excellent location. Well signposted. Room size, bed comfort and presentation were excellent. We needed non smoking and it was non smoking VERY IMPORTANT AND difficult in Spain. The fluffy bathrobes in the room were appreciated. The onsite parking with valet service was another quality aspect of this hotel. The bathroom is an excellent size and with excellent level and range of complimentary toiletries provided. Toilet and a separate bidet area allows a couple to use bathroom at same time. Shower water was hot and good pressure. On check-in ask for large tourist map as it is better than small map provided on check-in as tourist map of historical centre, it is not very clear. The restaurant was good quality food for dinner but a little expensive however as we were very jet lagged it suited just fine to have a simple meal. The next night we tried down the street for tapas and wine. A quality establishment I would recommend to well seasoned traveller couples

Area recommendations

The location of the Melia Las Clara is excellent and nearby there is an Ibis for those wanting a simpler alternative. I would stay again at the Melia Las Clara and recommend it for location and quality of accommodation.

“Elegant and Charming”
