"The hotel is a striking and unusual building, very handsome, though we would have appreciated better signs - the rooms in the 400s, which had to be accessed through the library, were difficult to find when first arriving. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the location of the hotel, near the seafront sights (the Mary Rose museum, Nelson's flagship Victory, etc) and the ferry ports. Everything clean and well maintained."

"For the price paid for a one night stay the Ibis offered very good value for your money. Within walking distance of everything we needed to do in Portsmouth. All staff members were polite and very helpful. Rooms are small and bathroom a bit tight on space but they are clean and comfortable. We slept well and the Ibis suited our needs. A great last minute find
"The hotel is really close to The Historic Dockyard, the reason for our visit and had a vacancy. The room was great, lovely comfortable bed with good quality bedding and towels. The en-suite was compact but modern and clean. We had a harbour view looking at HMS Warrior and although right on the road with the trains and buses nearby the room was really quiet. Breakfast was included in the price and provided a great start to the day with continental and cooked available. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. "
