"The hotel is a striking and unusual building, very handsome, though we would have appreciated better signs - the rooms in the 400s, which had to be accessed through the library, were difficult to find when first arriving. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the location of the hotel, near the seafront sights (the Mary Rose museum, Nelson's flagship Victory, etc) and the ferry ports. Everything clean and well maintained."

"For the price paid for a one night stay the Ibis offered very good value for your money. Within walking distance of everything we needed to do in Portsmouth. All staff members were polite and very helpful. Rooms are small and bathroom a bit tight on space but they are clean and comfortable. We slept well and the Ibis suited our needs. Would stay again at this hotel if visiting Portsmouth again."

"Particularly if you're travelling with young kids, make sure if you book a pet-free stay you get pet-free accommodation. Dog hair everywhere in the caravan we stayed in with our 2 & 4 year old, which wasn't ideal, despite having booked pet-free. Caravan was lovely aside from that. "

"Staff and Property was excellent, super friendly, couldn’t do enough for you. Only issue was that when we looked up and booked our establishment and room choice, on Expedia’s website, we were offer a buffet Dinner and breakfast on the checkout day. So when we arrived and checked in at reception, we were informed that they do not provide and sort of dinner at all at there establishment. So spent 30 minutes on your virtual chat line talking to an agent, asking why we were mis-sold this half board...

Fantastic Stay
"Lovely hotel overlooking the marina in Ocean Village, room was spacious and very comfortable with everything a visitor needs, bathroom also well fitted with a choice of a bath or over bath rainfall shower. Shops, restaurants and bars close by so perfect for our overnight after our cruise. Shuttle service from the cruise terminal to the hotel very welcome and efficient. Food and service in the 6th floor restaurant good with a super view of the marina."
