“Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!”

I couldn't have asked for a better hotel, and I'll definitely be staying her whenever I return to Rome. The location is incredibly convenient; the owners will recommend incredible restaurants and such for the entire stay; and--best of all--they will bring a delicious breakfast to your room every morning. You just need to call before 10:30 to specify whether you want a latte, tea, coffee, etc, and they bring some fresh pastries, juice, and coffee on a tray. It feels wonderfully decadent, and I couldn't have asked for more. Also, the restaurant recommendations were great. I really can't speak much more highly of my whole experience. Suffice it to say, I had a marvelous stay in Rome, and this hotel made it as great as it was; I'll definitely be back!

“Convenient Location and Helpful Staff”

Let a taxi driver locate the hotel for you. There is no sign and the hotel is located on the third floor of a building surrounded by businesses. Once one exits the lift, a small reception area welcomes guests. The rooms are small (there are none with painted cove ceilings) but comfortable with a nice bath. It is one block to a metro station and there are several restaurants within walking distance. A typical European breakfast is served in each room because there is no restaurant on site. The accommodating staff goes out of their way to help the guests take advantage of all the sights in Rome.

“Great Hotel for a Great Price”

I stayed in the Auditorium di Mecenate for four nights in Nov 2011 in the single room and had a great time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, their knowledge of the area is excellent and seem to love suggesting what activities one could undertake during their time in Rome. The room itself was whilst small served my needs excellently. It was clean and in great condition. The breakfast consisted of decent serving of pastries, juice and coffee. The location is great as it is within walking distance of many of Rome’s attractions and Termini train station is a short 5 min walk away. All in all a great stay at the hotel.

“Great place to stay and priced right.”

This place was rated number 64 out of 1200 by TripAdvisor and I know why. Everything was as advertised and the staff was extremely helpful in every way. The location made getting around Rome easy. We had a wonderful nine day stay. It is just a comfortable room with breakfast. That is all we needed since most of our time was spent sightseeing the eternal city of Rome, Italy. Because it was close to the train station we were able to easily take day trips to Pompeii and Venice.

“Great staff & cute hotel”

The hotel was in a unique location and was actually part of a large condo complex making it more like a B&B than a hotel. The staff was super helpful. When I checked in, the manager spent nearly 20 minutes showing me a map, explaining the layout of the city, routes to take to see the major sites, and the location of several recommended restaurants. During my stay, I ended up having a problem with a day trip I booked. The young man at the desk made several phone calls to straighten out the situation and was a tremendous help.

“Great guest house”

The room was nice but the best part of this guest house was the hospitality. Everyone in the guest house was very nice and gave amazi advice for how to see the most of Rome in the short amount of time I had there. In addition, the guest house is close to all the main sites.

“Superb find!”

We booked this hotel last minute while travelling from Florence. The location is a bit hard to find as some other reviewers have said. There are no "Hotel" sign outside the building as the Auditorium seems to use only 1 floor of the building. The other floors seemed to be business or condominium. So had to find it by the address, 44 Via Statuto and then you could see the Auditoium on the bell panel. The room wasn't big but was very comfortable and the shower was good. For the price it is the best you could get. The staffs are superb. Annatola(?), the lady in the morning, she's excellent. She gave us some travel tips, where to go and help us to organize rome travel itinerary. Would definitely stay there again.

“Great little hotel”

Auditorium di Mecanate is a small hotel -- only 10 rooms -- with the lobby located on the third floor of a rather non-descript building...but just because it isn't showy doesn't mean you won't have a great stay. The people running the hotel are all very friendly & helpful & speak excellent English. The rooms are rather small (and the shower stall can be especially so# but cozy and quite sufficient for couples -- families may want to scrutinize the room pics as I'm not sure just how large the rooms for them may be. Love the fact that the continental breakfast is brought to your room! Great location with Metro subway station just around the corner and Termini #central train station) within easy walking distance if you choose. If you're looking for fancy schmancy this isn't the place but...if you want a hotel that will meet your needs with a trustworthy staff, clean rooms, good security, etc. etc. I highly recommend Auditorium di Mecanate. We had a great stay!

“Great value for money”

Great value for money. Mini size room and bathroom but perfect for me as I only wanted a bed for the night and shower and breakfast in the morning. Real friendly staff.
