“More than you would expect from a B&B in a busy city”
After a bad experience in a different hotel in Rome - this hotel made our visit to Rome unforgettable. We chose the room with the private bathroom, the room was spacious, clean, the B&B is located in a very safe location, 5 minutes walking from Rome Termini (Train Station) which is an excellent location for tourists. And most important - the entire place was clean. I would definitely recommend it.
“Good for families, couples or individuals.”
I stayed at Anthony for 7 days in Feb 2013 and found it an excellent base from which to explore Rome. The room was cleaned daily and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided, (which I didnt eat as I wanted to sleep in) yet the staff were quite fine with me eating breakfast after the 'allotted' time. A map of the city was provided and helpful advice was given for getting around. The wireless was helpful and effective. The location is prime for getting around Rome, within easy walking distance of Termini and Castro Pratorio metro stations. There are plenty of restaurants , ATMS and shops nearby. I would happily stay here again.
“Handy B & B in Rome”
Hotel occupies 2 levels of a large building. Walkable to railway station, with wheeled luggage, and very handy to a metro station. Cafes and restaurants handy.
“Just Okay - Overpriced for What You Get”
We were in Rom for one day and just needed a convenient place to stay, so this fit the bill. But, the hotel had mislead us on the breakfast in an email prior to our arrival, saying that even though we needed to leave before breakfast (which was included in the price) was served the next day, that we could still get something earlier. And when we got there, they said they didn't have anything for us except some questionable yogurt cups in their refrigerator. No thanks. So, we ended up having to purchase our own breakfast. The Expedia listing also says they accept American Express, which they did not. I am quite upset about that because our fee for using it outside the U.S. is much lower than my other credit cards and I was counting on using it. I told him that it said that they accepted Amex and that someone should update their listing, but he didn't seem to care and acted like they had no control over it. On top of that, the air conditioning in the room didn't work very well. We had it turned up to the highest setting and it still didn't get cold in there. Luckily, it wasn't too hot outside that day, but I can't imagine what it would've been like being on the fifth floor of the building in the middle of the summer. The guy was helpful with suggestions to get around the city, and the location was great (close to Termini Station), but that's about it. For a stay longer than a night, I wouldn't recommend it.
“Fine for a base”
The decor of the rooms is fine and the room was clean. The towels where not changed very much an the air con did not work. It was 30 degrees so not good.
