“Lived up to our expectations”

My family and I visited the Chateau the last weekend of May, 2009. My son had just graduated from college and it was to be a special weekend. It was that and more. The Chateau is beautiful. Everyone was gracious and very helpful. The Hotel has an Old World charm, with the doormen in their uniforms to the horse drawn carriages parked outside. You can not go wrong with this Hotel, and they even have special rates occasionally.

“Can't really complain!”

This is a really great hotel. But therefore expectations were really high. Don't get me wrong, the Fairmont is by far one of the nicest hotels, I have ever stayed in. Location in Quebec is unbeatable and the building itself - breathtaking. The only reason I did not give a 5 for the "condition" was the room with the ice dispencer. I was not impressed. The "comfort" only got a 4 because of the room size. It was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. As you can see, I am very picky here! Have fun there, Quebec and the Fairmont is definitely worth a trip.

“Location, history and distinction”

Spent two nights with my girlfriend at this legendary Quebec City hotel. We had a standard room with view on the river. A bit small but very nice and of course very clean. Hotel staff, without exception was always very nice and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located to visit the old city by foot. If you don't mind paying a bit more or are able to get a good deal on a room, don't hesitate to go because this hotel certainly has that feeling of distinction, luxury, and history.

“Best Location”

The location and appearance of the hotel is superb. Although my room is relatively small but for what I paid for the room, it was worth it. I would love to go back in the future.

“Hotel Upgrades Complimentary to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary”

We had a beautiful room with a king bed over looking the Saint Lawrence River with all the regular amenities plus a box of welcome chocolates and a note congratulating us on our anniversary As a member of their Presidents Club (join free) we also received free internet and a daily newspaper everyone on staff was friendly and knowledgeable thehotel is close to everything in the old city and a gorgeous building the one drawback was the high cost of parking we rented a car we are looking forward to staying there again

“One of the BEST we visited yet!”

It's been said that first impression counts....well in the case of Le Chateau Frontenac was more than what we dreamed of from the check-in point on! We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there and we were pleasantly surprised when our room was upgraded to a special part of this hotel -"Gold" as they called it. It was more than "gold", it was really a "diamond" stay! We had our special night dinner to " Le Champlain" their unique restaurant with a special view of the river -oh, what a night! The next morning we used their spa -patronized by the Payot Institute Paris- and had a wonderful experience there as well - try it out if you have the time. Another part we enjoyed a lot was their exclusive Lounge for the "gold" members where we had breakfast every morning and drinks and snacks during the day and before dinner -what a great selection! Starting with the front desk personnel, to the ladies that looked after our room, to the restaurant and lounge staff, to the host that took us on a back-in-time-trip for a hotel tour, we were so impressed by their professionalism and friendliness, always ready to help and support with any questions we might have. We highly recommend this hotel for any kind of occasion or just for a night get-away. Excellent service A++.

“Lovely hotel and well situated”

The grand hotel is well situated for both city activities as well as nearby skiing sites. On site restaurants were fine but there were loads of wonderful eateries within a 5 minute walk from the hotel too.

“Excellent Everything”

Excellent hotel. Can be pricey, but we got a good rate. Right in the middle of what's happening in Quebec City.

“The only place to stay in Quebec City”

I am so happy we booked this hotel. It made our trip to Quebec City that much more memorable. If you are going to Quebec City this is the place to stay. The hotel was the highlight of our 24 hour stay in Quebec City. We were able to check in early at no additional cost, saw the sights of the city and spent most of the evening at the hotel overlooking the St. Lawrence. Located at the top of Quebec City, with a convenient Starbucks connected to the lobby, the hotel was the ideal place for a 24 hour stay in QC. The room service we ordered was fantastic, the room was small (this was expected for this historic hotel) but clean and comfortable. Would stay again and again...
