“Good location”
Had a Great Time in Phucket. Hotel was OK, Hot food was cold (Bacon, eggs, etc). Needs more maintaince in room to bring up to 4 star Pools area was great!! Location to shops, Bars, Beach Perfect!!
“Cant wait to till next time!”
Great Hotel, nice big rooms, people were awesome! Nice location just far enough away to be relaxing but not to far away from the night life. Three pools, but the swim up bar is the one you want to be in, bar staff are the best down there!
“Okay- but not great”
Stayed here for 7 nights after staying at another resort for 3 and found that it had its ups and its downs: Positive: The Grounds/Pools The Location Prices- mini bar/dining was well priced Negative: Staff- quite rude compared to other hotels in Phuket Beds- Very hard Air conditioning- couldn't leave it on when out of room Rooms- not enough bench/closet space Ironing- no boards in rooms, just an 'ironing center' Renovations- very noisy the whole time we where there Breakfast- Extremely busy It also seemed to me that every time we walked past the reception the staff where having an argument with a customer, so obviously other people weren't happy there. All in all its not a bad place, but i think it needs some tweaking to make it a great place.
“will be back next year”
beautiful hotel and staff. gorgeous grounds and pools. close to all nightlife but set back with no noise and guards on duty.
“Very relaxing ,tranquil gardens surrounding .I hope they never sell off their beautiful land”
Love Duangjitt .Actually thought it was abit of a secret until this August as it was totally booked out .Unfortunately though we were not informed of the main pool closure due to renovations and a new waterfall .We particularly like this resort as it has the biggest pool in Phuket ,probably Thailand .There was no word of this on any website ,although reception told me it was one month before .I highly dought that it was and i think customers should be told so they can make an informed decission on where they would like to stay due to any renovations going on in the property ..I will still continue to stay at The Duangjitt as i think it is a very beautiful and relaxing property to stay in.Its also in a very convenient position ,walking distance to everywhere and yet no steep hills as most places have or they are too close to the action and very noisy .Lovely staff in the restaurant too.
“Beautiful surroundings and great staff”
Our stay at the Duangjitt started off a little rocky with our room but in the end we were happy. We booked a Pool View Room which we thought would be big enough for us (2 adults & a 2 year old) and when we arrived we were not very happy with the size. Although the bathroom was very roomy, the room itselt was not. We also hated the fact that the front door was through the bathroom and THEN into the room. This might sound quite trivial but we just did not feel comfortable having the entry through the bathroom especially if we had to use the shower or toilet and were waiting for room service or if you needed maintenance etc.. The next morning we got upgraded to a Suite which was just perfect. A little bit more pricey but we ll worth it as we were there for 12 more nights. The bed and lounge were rock hard which was very uncomfortable and we could not sleep. We then told reception and they straight away put a soft top on top of the bed (definately recommend asking for this) The staff at reception were so helpful with anything we asked or requested in our room. Food - not so great. The buffet breakfast was ok but nothing special. Pool staff - could have been a little bit more lively (they seemed quite bored all the time) I would recommend this place for families as they have 3 pools and a cute kids play area/kids club. Management were fantastic. Thank You Duangjitt - Overall we had a great stay!
“Not friendly for Aussies”
Hardly any staff spoke any English. It was difficult to communicate with staff. Staff and other guests, who are mainly from non- English speaking countries, were not very friendly. The rooms are quite a walk from the loby so have an umbrella in winter. The pool doesn't open until 9am and closes early. Overall, I would say very unfriendly and not one for Aussies.
“BEST location..great price”
My partner and I stayed here in May 2011. We found the hotel has the best location. It is close to restaurants, beach, shops but it isn't loud as it has a long drive way so you don't hear the street noise. The hotel it self is very comfortable and relaxing. Decent size rooms & bathrooms. The resort it self is huge. I'm sure there are cheaper resorts in Phuket but this one had everything we wanted. We had the complementary buffet breakfast each morning with our stay which was very good as your out most of the day and last thing you think of is what to eat and especially early in the mornings. The only fault I can find with the restaurant is that it looks quiet cheap for example they had plastic flower place mats, At Duangjitt there are 3 pools, one has a pool bar which is cool. They also have a amazing massage spa service available which is a little expensive but worth it, very relaxing and the masseuse ladies are very kind. They also have a lady at the hotel to book any tours you would like to do on your trip. The lady did give us a discount on the tours we did but I'm sure if we had shopped around we could have gotten it for cheaper but it was covenant to just book it straight away through our hotel. The only real problem I found with the hotel is the front desk service. We requested to have a second key so we could keep our room cool as it does get hot but they said they are unable to provide a second key and when questioned why they did not understand or want to answer.
“Very Dissapointed”
We arrived and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful gardens of the hotel. However we found the staff to be unpleasant and unfriendly. They did not seem happy to help, we were escorted to our room by the driver who couldn't even smile. Our room was awful, the shower had mould, the toilet didnt flush properly and there was dust all over the bed head and under the bed. The bed was rock hard so my husband and I could not sleep for the 3 nights we were there. The resorts gardens and pools are lovely and it is enormous. We had no idea where anything was located. There was no information in the room about the resorts facilites etc so i asked reception for a map and they looked at me like I was an idiot. The only information in the room was a notice threatening if we stained the sheets from hair dye or tattoos we will have to pay for them. I will never stay at this hotel again, the only staff that were pleasant were the security at the front gate who would always greet us with a smile. We stayed during low season and we just expected much more. I wasnt expecting the staff to run around after us and but a simple smile would have been nice.
“Phuket”
