“ngreat stay for $”
Nice place to stay for a couple days. Pool is small but adequate. Only downer was no cigar smoking at pool side.
“A good hotel with good sized rooms.”
A good hotel with good sized rooms. Staff were very polite and helpful. The complimentary breakfast buffet was better than most. The hotel is a few blocks from Old Scottsdale and a few more from Scottsdale town centre.
“Huge room”
Free snacks in the afternoon, lovely large room, very clean and well maintained. Only small complaint was noisy plumbing.
“Great Scottsdale location”
Very nice hotel.1 mile from old downtown and walkable, if you like heat. Lovely pool and hot tub area so you can have breakfast or late drinks poolside. Shuttle bus to and from downtown on demand. Front desk personnel competent. Managers cocktail reception from 5 to 7 pm with snacks but while we were only there on 1 night, astonished to find no red wine left at 6pm and only some exhausted tacos lying around. No sign of replenishment. Asked about the absence of red wine and response; finished! I could have run out to the store and got some more, but does not work that way. Front desk said hotel was full and demand high. Would that not trigger the thought that maybe we should check supplies for all these lovely paying guests.
“Great Stay, nice and quiet rooms”
easy to get to from airport, only about 8 minutes away. hotel was quiet at nightime which is hard to find these days, i would definately stay here again anytime i am on business to phoenix area
“Great place>>>>>”
Had a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely helpfull and friendly. Loved the breakfast and snacks it was great for the kids.
“We loved the place! Very clean and comfortable. Very friendly, helpful staff.”
Our suite was great. We were able to have our family and friends come to us and visit for a few hours in the room and at the pool. The hotel was undergoing the tale end of renovations, but this didn't interfere with our stay. It is close to tourist -shopping, lots of restaurants and higher-end shopping. Convenient to the airport and freeways, and the Musical Instrument Museum in the northeast end near the Mayo Clinic. We enjoyed the free breakfast and happy hour provided by the manager. We made new "friends" who we spent time with at the pool and playing games and having pizza delivered in the lobby during happy hour. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful; they researched and provided info on a local race which was to cause road closures, and recommended a local park and playground where we could take our 9 yr old. We will stay there if in town again!
“Great little hotel in Scottsdale”
What a nice comfortable hotel the Holiday Inn Express is in Scottsdale--when everything else in the area appears to be higher end $-wise, this place offered a nice price, plus breakfast in a convenient location. I have stayed here before and intend to stay here again in the future.
“Very Surprised”
Happy hours was great, service of the staff was excellent. Not far from old scottsdale town. Eateries nearby. Would stay there again.
“Great hotel for anyone!”
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was udated and very clean. The breakfast was very good and the gentleman in charge of the breakfast area took pride in what he did and how he kept the breakfast area. We were most impressed with him. He was very personable. We are looking forward to staying at this property again!
