a fair walk into the city centrePosted 25/10/2013
Pros: the wifi was great and the staff were always friendly
Cons: cleanliness needs to be improved.
Location: Luxembourg gardens and the Pantheon are roughly 10 min away
we recently stayed here. the hotel is roughly 15-20 min walk from st. Michel. the Rooms are spacious however the blankets needed a good wash. thank goodness for clean sheets. the bathroom was below standard. the bath tub was extremely high that getting in and out was iextremely difficult. the toilet flush was loose and a used shower cap was left behind.

Hotel close to cafes, metro, everything you need.Posted 10/10/2013
Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was not great is that if you have the windows open it is very noisy especially real early in the morning. They need to install a shower curtain or somthing to stop the water from getting all over the floor when you shower. Other than that, for the price a good deal.

Good locationPosted 02/09/2013 on Hotels.com
I was not pleaed as hotel did not fit the photos used on website. Two staff members were great. sachi and clementine. The hotel outdated and did not offer food convenience although there was a very small food area that was closed. The area was convenient and safe. I would like to see new furniture and some updates because you get the impression the hotel is shabby.

Less than expectedPosted 27/08/2013 on Hotels.com
I was disappointed because the Hotel did not look like the photo on the website. At least as far as the lobby and the rooms. Looks like the room photo was taken when the Hotel was in its prime. Photos in the elevator show a great big staircase. Listed as amenities were washer/dryer. I did inquire at the desk but received blank looks. No one knew what I was talking about. We found there was no area on the first floor to grab a tea or coffee. Although at one time there was a small eating area, but upon our visit we saw empty tables and chairs. The rooms were not updated and need to be. Lamps, carpet and bedspread outdated. Hotel was shabby in some areas and in desperate need of a make over. The rooms did have a cleaning lady. Hallways were dark. There were 2 staff members that were very helpful. Clementine and Sachi. The other fellow was new and did not know too much. I think this hotel has lots of potential but needs new management. The lobby and reception area are in need of some major upgrade. Our room was small and the kitchen was used but one had to stand in the kitchen. It might be helpful to put some stools or chairs so you can enjoy eating in there, The area is very nice and quiet as it is residential. Easy to get to train and not too far from Notre Dame and the Pantheon.

Would stay here again.Posted 26/07/2013
Location: Metro is about 3 blocks away - it is also just a couple of blocks from open air restaurants and markets.
Hotel apartment was clean - it was great having a kitchen - fantastic location. There is no air condition and while the fan was adequate most nights - we hit a heat wave during our stay.

Loved having two bedrooms and a little kitchenPosted 25/07/2013
We enjoyed our stay. With a family, it was nice to have a little more room for our downtime during the hot Paris summer. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony and having the ability to do laundry. It was fun to be in a neighborhood and experience local shops as well as the proximity to the Luxembourg garden. It was an easy metro trip into the Notre Dame area, but a little more of a ride with some line changes to get to the Eiffel tower. The staff was very pleasant. It could be a bit loud on Friday and Saturday evenings due to the cafe down the street. The beds were not the most comfortable, although typical for Europe, and the sheets were scratchy.

Great location, convenient, but no ACPosted 23/07/2013 on Hotels.com
Just stayed at the quaint Villa Daubenton. Convenient family style room (accommodated 4 adults). Bathroom is small and also houses the WC which can be a little challenging when juggling 4 people's needs. Rates are competitive by Parisian standards. Staff is friendly. Our biggest issue was the lack of AC and cheap fans. When it is hot (middle of summer), be aware that your room will be hard to keep cool. That said we loved our stay and would certainly book again (and, when the temperatures are at a high, perhaps ask for twice as many fans as the two that come with the room).

Comfortable landing-place in a great neighbourhoodPosted 30/06/2013 on Hotels.com
We just completed a 6-night stay in Paris and were very happy with this choice. It's a good combination of a safe, quiet location on a back street but with walking distance to major attractions, easy access to the Metro and great shopping and food nearby. In fact, one of the unexpected highlights of our trip was just enjoying the neighbourhood, which has several unadvertised backstreets lined with restaurants and vendors, very lively in the evening. Although we didn't realize this until we got home, Rue Mouffetard (just around the corner from the hotel) has its own entry on Wikipedia as a lively place to visit. The hotel itself is basic, but the room was spacious (by Paris standards), clean and well-equipped. Our only complaint would be with the service, which varied from friendly-but-confused to parisian-style-surly, but this wasn't a show-stopper.

Great place for family stay in ParisPosted 22/06/2013
Cons: Shower was lousy
Location: Close to Latin Quarters and the Pantheon. Walked everyday.
Nice hotel staff except the night staff. Spoke good English. Very helpful. Hotel was clean and in a quite area. No air conditioning, so had to open the windows at night. Close to train station which made it easy to get to anywhere in Paris. Great location close to Latin quarters. Rooms were very nice sized for a family of 4.
