“Nice hotel in Paris”
Nice little room in a cosy atmosphere for one night with a casual encounter :)
“Charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood”
Charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient to metro and major attractions.
“Good location, close to the metro”
Stayed for part of our honeymoon and was very pleased with the hotel. The hotel is in very good condition and the communal areas are well decorated. There seem to be a lot of business conferences that are held in the facilities so at times, you find yourself having to walk through their parties to get to the building you're staying in. Slightly awkward, but no one seemed to mind. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our room had a small cooktop and mini fridge that was useful for cooking a few meals "at home" to save money in the very expensive city of Paris. The location is very convenient with plenty of small grocery stores and boulangeries. There are also several metro stops within easy walking distance including the Bastille metro stop. Door to door, you can be to the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower in 20 minutes if you navigate the metro properly. Cleaning staff came early every morning while we were still sleeping and each morning I had to get out of bed to tell them we weren't ready yet. I asked for a "Do Not Disturb" tag but they didn't know what I was referring to. I supposed I could have notified the main desk but it didn't seem worth the hassle. They did do an excellent job cleaning the room and they even did our dishes which I hadn't expected.
“Good Value”
Front desk staff was very friendly, was very pleased with the service. Our room was a perfect size, as well as our bathroom. We are used to European accomidation so we didn't mind the size (others may find it small). Our room was clean, bed as comfortable overall would stay again. Metro stop was a couple minutes walk away, which we used everyday. There are a couple restaurants near by, as well as cafes. We did not eat breakfast with the hotel. Also a little market by the hotel to get snacks. This was our first time to Paris and was very happy with our experience.
“the best service!”
the staff of the hotel was very kind and helpful. the location is the best! we injoyed our stay very much and will come back!
“Great hotel, great service, great location”
We loved this hotel! The room is very spacious considering what they say about small hotel rooms in Europe. The elevator was very small but never bothered us, we took one flight of stairs often and it was never an issue. The staff were wonderful and very helpful with all of our questions. We arrived very early in the morning and although we couldn't check into our room, we were able to leave our bags and use their bathroom to freshen up. Restaurant and Bar are excellent. We used the metro regularly with a stop right near the hotel and had the best coffee and chocolate croissants every morning at a cafe down the street. Great location with plenty of restaurants and pastry/candy shops in walking distance. We would definitely return to this hotel on our next trip to Paris.
“My 2nd Visit”
I have stayed in this hotel twice now and would go back if visiting Paris again. It has some cooking facilites in the rooms but no tea towels etc and no cooking utensils. The location is great just one street back from the main road and half way between stops of 2 different lines on the open top tourist bus so sight seeing was very easy
“Very nice hotel”
We stayed at Les Jardins du Marais the last week of July. The hotel was not exactly located at Les Marais but at La Bastille area, which is different if we compare with the type of restaurants and cafes you may find at Les Marais. The good thing, though, is it was one of the full hotels which let us stay with our children in the same room. In addition, we had a supermarket less than one block from the hotel - Very convenient if you travel with children (breakfast was 20 Euros per person). The cleanliness of our room was not the best asset: we found a shoe from the prior guest under our bed! Another downside: we had to go to a basement and then take our luggage to the first floor. There were no elevators and it was difficult for us to handle the luggage. Above all, we would come back to this hotel.
“Living the Parisian Life”
Central to tourist sites, but far enough away to let you experience the actual Parisian life including piping hot baquettes if you go to the grocery when it opens in the morning.
“Paris treasure”
The hotel had a great location in the Marais district. It was a two-minute walk to the Metro and surrounded by wonderful cafes. The rooms are spacious (by European standards) and include a small kitchenette. Even though the hotel was full it was quiet and peaceful. There's a terrific restaurant for a blow-the-budget dinner. The buffet breakfast is 20 euros so you'd be better off walking a minute to a nearby cafe for coffee and pain au chocolate.
