“Great little hotel!!”

Convention Montparnasse is a great little hotel! The room wasn't huge, but we stille had a little space to move around, even with our suitcases on the floor. The metro is litteraly 1 minute away from the hotel and it is very easy to get around. It probably took us about 10 minutes to get from our hotel to the Tour Effel. The metro system is very convenient and very safe to use. The hotel is also located in a quiet neighbourhood and there aren't that many tourists around which is nice. I had read a review that said that it was noisy at night since there were 2 cafes next door, but we didn't hear anything. It was very quiet at night and we had a great sleep. The staff is also very kind and helpful.

“GREAT!!!”

Amazing! If you want a cozy, comfortable, quiet, convenient stay this is the hotel to make yourself at home in! The hotel room was reasonable size with shower and bath, and toilet, with a very mordern-esque atmosphere! Comfortable twin beds and a tv! one tiny little downer was the fact the shower had a tendancy of splashing the water on the marble flooring, so be extra careful and wear slippers. Generally The staff were great, and helpful. The location was fantastic and it is literally 2 mins away from the convetion station. There is a bar and restaurant right outside the hotel which gave me and my friend the opportunity to stay out late, eat drink and walk next door to our hotel room. And the surrounding neighbourhood has clothes shops, off licences, pastry shops and convenience stores if you want to buy groceries! And even a market every tuesday and sunday, where you can buy unique accessories and lots of souveniers and other goodies. Eiffel tower and other major attractions are a walking distance from the hotel or if you travel on the metro line its about 15 minutes.

“Fantastic Hotel”

The hotel staff was very accomodating and pleasant. I was alone on check in and my husband joined me the next day. The front desk men were very nice and helpful as I tried to find some food. We were allowed to leave some of our luggage there for two nights while we went to London. You are asked to turn in your key when you leave. This seemed a little strange to us, but someone is always at the desk to hand you the key when you return. The room was small compared to American hotels, but the hotel was clean and comfortable. Watch out for the hot water...it's very hot!! On our return from London we were scheduled to switch hotels. The new hotel was a mess so we came back to Convention Montparnasse and asked if there were any rooms available. We were so relieved there were! We wound up in a triple room, which was two twin beds pushed together to make a big bed and a third twin bed over to the side. This was nice and roomy for us. If you would like a bit more room, book the triple. The bakery on the corner was delicious and we stopped by every morning for an inexpensive breakfast. The metro station is also right on the corner so getting around Paris was a breeze. There is a market, cinema, and pizza shop within a block of the hotel. The wifi worked well, too, which was a must-have for us. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

“Very Friendly Staff!”

This hotel was lovely. The staff on the reception were so friendly and polite and spoke excellent English. I found the cleaners to be a little abrupt and spoke no English at all so it was difficult to ask for extra pillows/towels etc. On our last night we had a power cut and the hotel staff had no problem moving us to another, larger, room. The rooms are quite small but the views were very nice. Overall I loved this hotel and would definitely go back.

“Very good hotel”

This is a very good 2 star hotel. My room was small but very tastefully decorated and the shower room had expensive fittings and came with complementary shampooes and shower caps. The breakfast is good and well priced - only 9 Euros. Being a small and compact hotel my room was a little bit noisy but I don't think I could have found a better hotel in that category.

“Excellent Parisian Taste”

amazing stay!! i would definitely stay in this hotel again the next time i come to paris! the staff is genuinely nice and helpful!(which is rare to find in paris..) the interior of the hotel is designed in a great Parisian taste. You really feel the Parisian atmosphere in there. The room is excellent decor and bathroom is well maintained!! The location is great, it's only 10sec away from metro, literally! We walked at night and the area feels safe as well, there were no dodgy people around. and the best is that you can all these in a really good bargain price!! i've compared all the hotels in expedia and so far this is the best for the price!! even better than the more expensive ones!! highly recommended!!

“Great option near Convention Metro”

The hotel was nice and quaint located very close to the metro stop. It was easy to take the metro from there around to other parts of the city. The room was small, but a nice view from the window and the bathroom was a good size.

“An almost perfect place to stay in Paris”

Great location in a middle class residential, non-touristy area. Metro station is less than 1 min from the hotel. Supermarkets, a bakery and a few restaurants are all within 2 min walk. Room on the 4th floor has great views over a little square and was quiet (even with vindows open). Reception was friendly and very efficient. The room size was OK by European standards. The only thing that was missing is a small refigerator in the room.

“Bad experience let hotel down”

One bad experience tarnished the positives of the hotel experience. The cleaning person that did our room threw away empty mini-travel containers that we had put aside in the bathroom to dry. In addition, we had put aside empty packaging from our shopping trip to one of the boutique stores, and this too was thrown away. The funny thing was, we had genuine rubbish in a plastic bag next to the bedside that was left and not thrown away! We have stayed at many hotels around the world and never had we gone back to our rooms to find stuff that wasn't in the rubbish bins thrown away. We had left receipts and tissues and papers all over the rooms, and unless it was in the rubbish bins, it was left as is. Just a tip, there is no in-room safe. If you want to leave valuables, you have to bring it down to reception and they will put it in an envelope and seal it, then put in their hotel safe. You don't hold a key to it, and in terms of safety, anyone from the hotel staff that have access to the safe can get to your valuables.
