“Great Hotel, well worth a visit”
We only spent two nights here but during that time we were very well looked after, and sampled the bar and the restaurant. Very friendly staff and a lovely location. Our room had just be decorated, and all of the public areas were comfortable had a nice feel to them.

Lovely hotel and location not too far from town centre. We enjoyed a good full breakfast with a good choice each morning.

lovely location. have stayed in many expensive hotels around the world. This is a great little hotel. The breakfast was not the best but locati on and rooms in the older part were wonderful. Local Pub called the North Arms did great evening food and lively atmosphere in village location
“Nice hotel”
Very nice break for our 23rd wedding anniversary. Hotel rooms are clean but were very cold. Ask about the central heating and receptionist said boiler is not on yet. Stay away from room 1 and surrounding rooms. Near kitchen, so when they are cooking, up to2300hrs and from 0600hrs in the morning the extractor fan goes on and you know about it. Evening meal was fantastic.
“Comfortable Hotel”
Situated in a peaceful location this hotel is excellent quality. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. We stayed there for a wedding at Upton House so only sampled breakfast which was very good. However would have preferred cooked to order rather than buffet. Slow to clear the tables.
“Fantastic food in hotel”
Lovely hotel,friendly staff and top notch food for 25 pounds a head.Room was clean and tidy , only gripe was the noise from water tanks above room 12.

Very quiet relaxing Hotel, service slow apart from the restaurant
“Room ok, restaurant service very poor”
Room ok for cheap weekend break but would not recommend for anyone on business. There was no desk to work, or anywhere to eat in your room if you order room service. The restaurant food was ok, but the service was very poor. It was 25 mins before anyone came to even offer me a drink.
