Summer Bay Resort is 6 miles from Walt Disney World® Resort, and 15 miles from SeaWorld Orlando.
Family-friendly amenities include 5 outdoor pools, an interactive children's water park, a miniature golf course (surcharge), and 2 playgrounds. This Kissimmee resort also offers 2 outdoor tennis courts, and a fitness facility. An activity center has programs for children and adults (fees may apply), and lakefront rentals include jet skis and paddle boats. A poolside tiki bar serves tropical drinks, and a gift shop sells beer, wine, snacks, ice cream, sundries, and resort wear. The hotel includes a 24-hour business center, 4 meeting rooms, and complimentary wireless Internet access in public areas. Staff can provide tour assistance. Guests enjoy a complimentary scheduled shuttle to Walt Disney World® Resort, and shuttle service within the resort is available upon request. Self parking, including RV and truck parking, is complimentary.

Summer Bay has 525 one- and two-bedroom condos located in 20 four-story buildings with access via exterior corridors.
All condos have furnished balconies, separate sitting areas, and kitchens with microwaves, refrigerators, stoves, blenders, toasters, coffeemakers, dishwashers, cookware, and dinnerware. Other amenities include washers and dryers, DVD players, in-room safes, and TVs with complimentary premium channels. Wireless Internet access is available in condos (surcharge).

Kokomo's Tiki Bar - This poolside bar serves soft drinks and tropical cocktails from late morning until late evening.

Recreation
A sandy beach borders the resort's 64-acre lake, and fishing, paddle boat, and jet skiing rentals are available. Other outdoor activities include miniature golf (surcharge), sand volleyball, tennis, shuffleboard, basketball, and horseshoes. Guests enjoy four outdoor splash pools, a children's interactive water park, and two playgrounds. The fitness center has two treadmills, a universal machine, and a stationary bike. The activity center offers activities for children and adults, including face painting, wine socials, and basketball games; fees may apply.
Within five miles of the resort, Falcon's Fire Golf Club has an 18-hole, par 72 course designed by Rees Jones, a driving range, golf school, clubhouse, and pro shop.

“Great resort and great for families”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Summer Bay Resort. Our 2 BR condo ws very nice. The resort has multiple pools nd most are heated and this was nice as the temps. were a bit on the cool side when we were there. They offer multiple activities for kids each day nd the "balloon guy" is a must see if you can make it. He was great. We heard that he also does a magic show but we were unable to see that. If the price is right, we will stay there again.
“Great Vacation”
A great place to stay. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. We were close to all the Orlando attractions. There were several pools and a basketball court at this resort. Our family (including 3 teenagers) had a wondeful time!
“Awesome!”
I booked this hotel (and paid for as a hotel) through expedia, not as a free place to stay and to listen to a timeshare presentation. We were hit up to participate in their 1 hour sales pitch but we just declined and that was that. If you have kids this place is great. In fact, we could have saved ourselves alot of money and avoided the crowds and humidity of Disney and Universal and just let our 4 and 7 year olds play in their water playground the whole time we were there! Plus the hotel also offers "kids night out" on certain days of the week, which allows the parents to drop the kids off at their activity center from 6-10 pm (for a very small fee) and mom and dad can have an evening sans children. The DJ playing caribbean-flavored music by the pool in the evenings added to our enjoyment. Lots of stuff for the whole family to do. Very very clean hotel, nicely decorated and having the washer/dryer in our room was a godsend! Highly recommend this place to everyone with kids. We will definitely be back.
“Pleasantly surprised with all the resort had to offer”
Summer Bay lived up to the descriptions placed on Expedia. Obviously, you have many people touring as potential timeshare buyers but it wasn't a problem at all. The main pool is open 24hrs a day with great drinks and a great atmosphere. We were a group of 4 in a 2 bedroom villa and there was more than enough room. Everything was available in the room from washer/dryer to blender. My only problem was the size of the fitness facility which was not "state of the art." The staff was great, only one call about taking a tour and they weren't pushy at all and there were plenty of activities from live music to boating on a private lake. I would definitely go back.

We only needed a one night stay and was directed to this facility. We wished we had booked a whole week! Clean, comfortable and convenient.

Even though we did not stay at the resort, we were right in front of it and the ammenities offered in the resort were awesome... I was not surprised to know that our room was not in the resort, the website says it, so whoever complained before about that being a scam they were just not readyin carefully. The price is great and you get to use all the resort facilities. We went to our room only to sleep at night, lol! Super relaxing and it is very well located, close to everything! Just take one street up and down and you can go anywhere!

My gf and I stayed at the cheaper inn across the street, which we knew before we arrived. I don't know about the smoking rooms, but our room was very clean and the maid replenished our towels and made our bed even when we left late in the day for Disney. You do not have to pay a daily fee to use the amenities at the resort across the street. We enjoyed the tiki bar, heated pool, Jacuzzi, and a sandy beach on the lake free of additional charges. We took advantage of the nearby grocery store to pack lunches for the theme parks and eat at Denny's three times to utilize the 10% off you get for staying at the Inn. The service at the Hotel was good. They were helpful in calling the cheapest cab service in the area when we needed one.

Everything was clean and neat. The 2 bedroom suite was nicely decorated & comfortable. I will be returning to Summer Bay in the future.
