“Exceeded Expectations.”
Convenient location as anticipated close to SNA Airport. Convenient access to Newport Beach/etc. Helpful staff, clean/comfortable room, A/C, no complaints whatsoever. Probably a one time visit b/c in for a wedding, but highly recommended hotel.
“Pleasant Surprise”
Never stayed at an Ayres Hotel before. It is a local small chain in SoCal. The staff was wonderful, the rooms large, clean and comfortable. Definitely a good deal.

A step up from larger chain "suite" hotels, but at comparable or lower prices. Nice amenities, good breakfast (avoid the French Toast). Very convenient to OC Performing Arts Center. Made a great weekend getaway!
“Wonderful time!”
The breakfast buffet was incredible and in a dining room setting. The spa is nice and hot and has good jets. The pool was fun for the kids~not just a wading pool. The front desk was very courteous and even served fresh cookies at check-in. We will seek out an Ayres spefically next time we plan a trip~very elegant hotel at an affordable price.
“A very nice place for the price”
Chose this hotel because of its location relative to the John Wayne airport. I did not expect anything exceptional, but was pleasantly surprised. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt it was a very good deal for the price. I would definately stay here again if I was in the area.

“Amazing Hotel”
We were so happy with our stay at Ayres Hotel. We were traveling in a group of 6 adults and 2 children. We had three rooms next to each other and our room opened up to the "balcony" overlooking the plaza with the water fountain (the best thing about the hotel according to my 2 year old). The room was clean and beautifully decorated. And like others have said, the bed was more comfortable than the one I have at home. Breakfast every morning was so good! The fresh fruit and yogurt were amazing! There was also eggs, mini quiche, potatoes and peppers, pancakes, french toast, bacon, cereal, juice etc. The location was great. Several restaurants are nearby and we visited Target a few times to stock up on drinks and treats to put in our mini fridge. The one "complaint" is that the t.v. is hooked up so that you cannot change the input. We always travel heavy with our electronics and there was no way to set up a dvd player (xbox) to watch movies at night. It wasn't a big deal seeing as when you're on vacation it's to get out, still it would have been a nice convenience. One other thing, the pool was not heated. We called the front desk and they had a maintenance person out there within 5 minutes to look at it. Unfortunately the actual heater was broken so we didn't get to swim. Oh well! Beach was 15 minutes away!

This is our 3rd get-away weekend here and we plan to go back again.
