The beachfront Outrigger Reef invites couples to Hoi Hou Ke Aloha, a ceremony to renew their wedding vows. This complimentary ceremony is held every Tuesday and Friday morning at 8 AM (schedule subject to change), on Waikiki Beach in front of the hotel.

The Outrigger Reef also offers surfing lessons, outrigger canoe rides, and catamaran cruises (surcharges for all). The hotel features a pool and sundeck, a fitness center, and three on-site spa tubs. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all meeting rooms, the lobby, and the pool area.

“Experience at Outrigger”

Our room smelled like somone had thrown up in it. We had reserved 2 nights because we had an evening flight and found out after we checked out that we could have reserved a half day rather than a full day for the second day. Also every time we walked through the lobby, we were accosted by people at a separate desk trying to get us to listen to some kind of deal in return for a free breakfast.

“"Hole in the Wall"”

My room was so dark, one had to have all the lamps on at all times There was no privacy. Being on the 11th floor, with the windows of the room looking into the back of the Waikiki Shore Hotel. Anyone could look straight into the room, so I had to have the full curtains drawn at all times. Would have made a good 'crew room' for airline crew. Dark 24/7!

Check there isn't a huge event in the city before you book. The APEC conference in Honolulu did make the vacation less restful.

“Good location”

Nice hotel. Nice location. We paid for an upgrade to partial ocean view. However we could only see the ocean over a 4 story building from the balcony. Not worth the extra charge. We were moved from the 6th to the 10th floor for better view.

Area recommendations

If you have no view I would stay closer to the public beach in Waikiki.

“Great location right on the beach and a short stroll to the main strip!”

What can I say about a great newly renovated hotel in a fab location! As soon as we walked in after a long flight we were greated by helpful bell men and the check-in staff were helpful too, infact all staffwere as they made our experience there personal. One of the best things about this hotel was hat it had a personal strip of beach out the back and if you didnt feel like swimming in the ocean a fairly large pool area with many many seats just to soak up the sun. Serving staff would come around to ask you if you would like anything and wouldnt bother you either, didnt mind giving a tip as us Australians all know how hard it is to do seeing as we are not used to it! One annoying thing was that we were in Hawaii during Apex, yet the amount of information we recieved was quite helpful to keep us informed on what to expect. All in all a great experience and being a travel agent definately a recommendation to all my clients!

“Newly remodeled, absolutely wonderful!”

The hotel has an all new look and feel that is luxurious for our needs. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, great poolside cafe with delicious food/drink and outstanding evening entertainment. We were treated to Cyril Pahinui on Wednesday night while a full moon rising! We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this hotel for its beach location (not in the center of Waikiki) and easy walking into town.
