“Not impressed”

The people that work at the hotel are very nice and helpful but the room was not clean. I opened the ice bucket and it was filled with garbage and the cockroaches were everywhere.

“Great location but not completely satisfied”

This hotel is very conveniently placed if you are looking for a cheaper place to stay that is central to the beach, shops and public transport. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful but others not so much. The cleaner did not do their job properly! Definitely not happy with the "cleanliness" especially in the bathroom. Also if you want your bath towels to be replaced you will have to wait until after 3.30pm before you can get some. Considering that this is a 2.5 star hotel it does meet those standards.

“A place to get cleaned up, and store your luggage...and that's about it.”

Pictures were quite misleading, looked like a very well "updated" place with nice beds and comfortable surroundings...non of which were accurate. From staying in Jamaica to Vegas, we have stayed in just about every type of place available that didn't require us to take out a small mortgage to cover it. And from all the pics and misleading reviews, the Aqua Peal Waikiki is nothing like what you see on expedia or any other site. Rooms are ok size, have flat-panel tvs and that is about it... beds are like sleeping on cardboard covered stone slabs, we arrived to a clean room...however, having 4 of us (two adults and two kids)...2 towels just wasn't going to cut it. Upon seeing a cleaning person and requesting more towels, she was pleasant in saying she would take care of it... well, she left us NO TOWELS... and that happened twice! Front desk personnel is friendly and pleasant, parking is rediculous...$20 a night for "first come, first service, no guaranteed parking" is how they opperate. All in all, I definately will not go back, and will not refer anyone there. We made the best of our trip, and had a good time in Waikiki...but the hotel is definately lacking! As for location, it is close to the International Market...but there is a lot, of nightly screaming and yelling out in front of the hotel. We were woken up nearly each night from anyway where around 1 am... to 4 am with people out front yelling and screaming (drama central). Consider your options before you book this hotel

This was a wonderful place to stay. The people were extremely friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, or return there myself!

“Good Location”

Would be happy to stay at this hotel again. A little noise from the Legends Bar. Stayed on the 3rd floor. No views but other hotels can look directly in your room.clean room & sheets changed during a week stay.Great location for transport & shopping

“Great apartment for families! Will be back!”

We stayed for two weeks here on our first visit to Hawaii. We are a family of 5 and found the hotel very comfortable and very clean. It was a quick walk to the beach by cutting thru International Market place and the Outrigger. The hotel does provide beach towels. The bus stop was around the corner for Alo Moana and Pearl Harbour and trolley service. We had a 2 bedroom and were a little disappointed that one bedroom was curtained off from the living room. In saying this though, the space of the room was really quite large and comfortable. Wireless was only available from the hotel lobby which was disappointing. You could however plug into the internet in room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only real problem with this hotel is that the windows seem to be made of paper as you could here the night life AND bin collections in the morning. We did meet a family staying at the Outrigger on the beach complaining of the noise at night from discos etc so this could be a general Waikiki problem. Food pantry (grocery store) was also around the corner which was very handy. I would absolutely stay here again as I enjoyed the space of the apartment but with the perks of a daily cleaning lady!

“Affordable, but small rooms.”

Checking on the website, I thought the rooms would be a lot bigger, but once I arrived, I noticed that my room was small and had the view of the parking lot. At least I was mostly outside exploring Waikiki. The bathroom could use a little work. The faucet was working, but the pressure of the water was weak and was spraying three different directions. The hotel did not have any types of amenities, just a little sports bar connected on the side. The parking lot was small (total of 15 cars parked). The price was affordable, even though I split it with a friend. I recommend this hotel to travelers that would only use it for sleeping and not the amenities.

“good room for great price..”

i've been staying at this hotel for almost a month and i have found no problem with the hotel staff or the hotel itself. the hotel staff are extremely friendly and i have gotten to know a few of them. no favors were given of course. the cleaniness of the room and the round clock maid service good. they even came back despite the usual rounds just to clean up my room.

“A good stay”

We come here regularly for mixed business and leisure purposes. The location is ideal in the center of Waikiki, just walk 100 ft and you enter the International Market Place. The Bus station is even closer. The hotel can provide you with a bus schedule for all major attractions in Waikiki and Honolulu. The rooms are tidy and we love to sit on the balcony after dark. The atmosphere is great. If you need more towels, just ask the front desk and they bring it up. The staff is great in assisting you with any questions you might have.
