“Nice Place”
..
“Better than I thought for the price”
Better than I thought for the price. Nothing amazing but clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. Good location.
“So So”
It was a so so experience. Small room, Ok cleanliness, guest service is average, 3 blocks from the beach, close to popular restaurants, groceries, and shops. Ok experience. Would try another hotel next time visiting Waikiki.
“Horrible!”
Worst hotel EVER!!!!!!!
“Frat house look”
The couch looked like it was in a Frat house for the last ten years, we were afraid to touch it! Purchased a "partially obstructed" view of Ocean, could only see other buildings.
“Will Look Elsewhere Next Time”
The hotel provided just enough service and comfort to be acceptable. I did not upgrade my room, and it was very small. I apparently got one of the few rooms that did not have a balcony. There was quite a bit of traffic noise. The air conditioner did not keep the room cool during the warmest parts of the day. This was not a huge problem for me as I was out doing activities on most days. The bed was comfortable which is the main reason why I don't give a lower rating. I will definitely look to stay elsewhere next time.
“Excellent hotel to stay in while visiting Waikik”
Nikki was so nice and attentive to me. I talked to her every night as I was trying to adjust to the new time zone. I travel a lot and enjoyed staying here. Do your research and ask for a upgrade, get a spa service and you get an upgrade. They have customer appreciation per week and the manager serves a drink called The Wipeout exclusive of Aqua Aloha and Spa Waikiki. I most enjoyed the family philosophy and the entire staff made it a great hotel stay. I'll stay here on my return trips to Waikiki!!!
“OK base camp”
Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful, no bad attitudes at all. The economy room we were given was very basic but clean. Just a bed, dresser, small flat screen TV and a couple of night stands. No table and chairs (don't know if this room was assigned by Expedia or Aloha Surf.) There was a microwave and coffee maker as well. Rooftop view was about it. We didn't care about that as we were almost always gone on adventures on Oahu and were only there to sleep and wake up to move on to the next beach or adventure. The only real negative is that we were led to believe (and told) the hotel had a hot tub /jacuzzi. Wrong! they don't. We even called the hotel directly beforehand to double check and they lied to us saying "yes we have a hot tub." This wouldn't be a deal breaker for most people, but since we are real outdoor / beach / adventure types there's nothing like a soak in a jacuzzi at night after bouncing around the island all day. The hotel name is Aloha Surf & Spa but there is no Spa, very, misleading. We we also told of free daily continental breakfast. Wrong! They charge $4.95 and it looked bad. We went out and did our own thing. We won't go back.
“Aqua Aloha Hotel impressed me”
I was scared when I booked this hotel because of such bad reviews. When I got there I was impressed. I knew it was not a five star hotel. I am glad I did not listen to the inadequate postings by other people. They wanted a five star hotel cheap. Anyway here is my experience with the hotel. Close to everything, great staff. Guided me to get food, snorkel shops and what I liked the most was their friendliness. Room always clean and a very comfortable bed. Paid a little more and had pancakes for breakfast. Overall is a great place to stay. Enjoy!
“A nice hotel to stay in”
Close to the international market place, and Waikiki beach. I was satisfied with the location and the friendliness of the staff.
